Jr. ROXASParticipantSomewhat off-topic but who do you guys think will be the participnts of this year’s dunk contest? Obviously Zach Lavine will be one. The other 3, I’m not so sure. Every year we usually have already1-2 surefire candidates in mind but this year’s different. Interesting to see who the league will choose.
I’m thinking T-Ross or maybe even James Johnson could take 1 spot since the event is being held in Toronto and it’d be great for them to represent the city. Derozan I don’t think would want to participate in it as he will likely be an allstar.
Larry Nance is my next candidate since tbh, he is getting pretty popular nowadays with all the Laker fans around the world and the dunks he has that go viral because of them. Also has great charisma and personality that will fit great in a contest like this. It’d be cool too if Kobe endorses his fans to vote for Nance to get in the contest.
The last one, I couldn’t really come into a conclusion to anyone. Deandre Jordan is the one guy who I see as the ultimate dunk contest person, part of it his personality and part of it, of course, is that he is one of the most athletic big men in the history of the NBA. But he never seems interested in joining it, which is frustrating. He is the only player in the league that could give Lavine a run for his money. Derrick Williams has some nice highlights this year, but he already did lose the event a few years ago. Cauley-Stein? Winslow? Who else do you guys have?

ProximoParticipantSomeone flagged me as a spam account (look at my posts?!) So I can’t post anywhere now? If this shows it’s just a test.
How are the forums so antiquated here???
&$#%#&@! very far from user friendly. Are they too broke to fix this?

he_gets_bucketsParticipantYeah you thought I had in the Christ Koumadje thread but I didn’t so its probably just an automated system that mistook you for spam, that or when the admin was clearing out some of the spam from yesterday he might’ve accidentally flagged one of your posts.

ProximoParticipantOh well. just a few weeks into my NBAdraft.net career, I quit. y’all can have this echo chamber all to yourselves, was looking for a new site to chat about this stuff, I can’t even drop a full post about the 7’3" players without having to delete half of it and get constant messages about being flagged for spam.. I’ll find somewhere else… this place sucks anyway – I remember when they had Porzingis mocked in the 40’s back in 2014…
Glad its inundated with spammers, y’all deserve that — look at how new posters get treated here..

Magic JordanParticipantYou say you’re glad that it’s inundated with spammers yet you get upset with the spam filter in place to try to cut those back.
Bon voyage rookie of the internet.

I May Be WrongParticipant“Are they too broke to fix this?”
I’ll have you know that users with 1700+ points were invited to an exclusive MikeyV pizza party on New Years. It was everything we dreamed it would be. Hashtag Stuffed crust and big butts! McDunkin (or should I say McPepperoniTony – ask him how he got that nickname that one weekend in Canada) was Milly Rock’n on every block. Aran was caught dabbing with Christian Bale. A lot of other things happened BUT… since you’re leaving Proximo, guess I cannot say what happens. What happens at Little Ceasars, stays at Little Ceasars.

I May Be WrongParticipantDunk Contest – Dream choices
LaVine, Westbrook OR John Wall, Gerald Green, and DeAndre Jordan. This is what I would love to see. Unfortunately, it’s available in 2k16 only so…..
Realist choices:
– LaVine,
– Will Barton
– Nance Jr.
– Justise WinslowI think they will be the most likely to accept if invited but this isn’t a bad thing. I’d expect LaVine to repeat.

airenn34ParticipantIf JP Tokoto is called up from the D league he should be at the contest. Anybody see that video of him terrorizing the D league. I remember he won a national dunk contest in high school.

Memphis MadnessParticipantI would like to see professional dunk artist Harold Minor 2.0 aka Zach LaVine in the dunk contest. Had a GREAT contest last year, and you can’t be the man until you BEAT the man.
Yeah, we need Wiggins! One of the best dunkers out there. A Canadian guy, too, so hopefully the crowd can see a hometown favorite.
James Johnson pulled off a great dunk that I got to see LIVE at the FedEx Forum. The in-game, off the backboard pass to himself for the dunk. My seat gave me a GREAT angle to the dunk, too.
DJ Stephens: Not in the NBA, but best dunker I have ever seen, both in person and on TV.
His former Tigers teammate Will Barton is another great athlete, although I can’t remember a memorable dunk from him. But, hard to live in DJ’s dunk shadow.
Larry Nance, Jr.: I like the idea of the Legacy Dunker. Wouldn’t be too disappointed to see him!
All I want is LaVine to return to the contest. Wiggins would help seal the deal. IF DJ Stephens made his way onto a roster and competed, I think the combination of those 3 would scare everyone else off.
I am wondering if former Raptor and current former Grizzly (yeah, he hasn’t been too good this season) Vince Carter makes an appearance at the 2016 Dunk Contest. Maybe he judges the thing. Or gets dunked over. Now, if the guy still has 2 or 3 dunks still left in the tank, then I would take him as the third wheel in a LaVine-Wiggins-Stephens Four Horsemen of the Dunkpocalypse.

daggers818ParticipantDefinitely want to see Nance!
Idea: Personally, I’m done with the current format and would want to see something else like who can dunk the highest. There was an article years ago, "The Leaping Legends of Basketball" that I just loved and have always been intrigued by:
http://articles.latimes.com/1989-02-12/sports/sp-2996_1_basketball-player
It’s written pre-Vince Carter days and many other modern-day spectacular dunkers, but I love the history and myth of it all (Joey Johnson story!). I remember reading about the spirited Blazer practices back in the Drexler days when he and Jerome Kersey would see who could dunk the highest in practice. I read then that Kersey could dunk at 11′ 6 1/2" (half inch more than Drexler). Deandre would probably be my choice today. It would be fun and put some myths to rest!
Thoughts?

Chilbert arenasParticipantI don’t see any reason Gerald Green shouldn’t be in it every year
Love to see Wiggins and Lavine battle it out
If healthy I think Mudiay could do a few things
