jmack78ParticipantJust talking to a couple of co-workers let me know about your thoughts on this trade
Philly – trade IGGY to Minny
Minny – sends Philly 2nd pick, michael Beasly, and some other player
This would solve the the SF for Minny and give them a veteran leader
The would help philly because they will get rid of a player that has wore out his welcome and on the Minny team with Kevin Love could be a better player
Then Philly turns around and does this trade
Philly – sends the 2nd pick
Cavs – send the 4th pick and first round pick in 2012
Now the Cavs can pickup Dwilliams and KIriving like they want so they have a solid base for the future. Philly then can pickup a PF or C at 4 and still have the option to get somebody at 16. This also helps Philly if for some odd reason Thadus Young doesn’t resign we can draft a replacement.

jmack78ParticipantI wouldnt say that he is better then both of them. I would say he does alot of things good so on a team that will have a PG who likes to run he is perfect because he is a better transition player then both DWill and MBeasley. Also Minny is looking for an establish Vet not another 20 year old.
You dont like the trade?

PulseGlazerParticipantThe Cavs aren’t trading their #1 next year for the #2. If they would, Minn would have done that already. And there’s no reason to trade that much cheap salary for a wing defender who needs the ball in his hands.

jmack78ParticipantWhy would Minny do it this year getting the 4th pick and next year number 1 its not going to give them a wing player who can do what IGGY does, it would give them another 20 year old. Im not an IGGY fan at all but at the same time in Minny he would make some of the players better. He is a good defender, rebounder, and passer. Can you say that right now about anybody on Minny now?
At the end of the day both Minny and Cavs make out on this deal.

PulseGlazerParticipantBecause you’d rather have a 20-year-old at the top of next year’s draft who can be a franchise player on the cheap than Iggy.

jmack78ParticipantThats why Minny is always at the top of lottery. Keep with that thought process and you will end up like the Clippers. Who is the fran player next year?

PulseGlazerParticipantThat or despite being in the lottery a ton they’ve only got 1 franchise talent ever. They aren’t going to attract free agents and, a reminder, the Sixers have had their most success since the early 80s based on drafting a franchise player (AI). Beyond that? Mediocre to bad. And in a far, far superior market.

jmack78ParticipantDo you consider making the playoffs mediocre? The only reason why were bad after Iverson is because of horrible contracts to below average players…..

PulseGlazerParticipantYes, being the 7 or 8 seed is mediocre. And yes, poor contracts are a terrible way to rebuild. Like taking Igodala’s big contract before you know how it will look in the new CBA over cheap, young talent.
