Willfb3ParticipantOrlando trades pick 5 and Evan Fournier to Philly for pick 3. With reports emerging that Russell doesn’t want to play for Philly, more and more draft boards have them taking Porzingis, whom Orlando seems pretty keen on. In this deal Orlando would get thier guy and Philly could take Mudiay at 5 to be thier future point guard. They also pick up Fournier who is a promising prospect at the shooting guard position.

ZachAttackParticipantAlthough I like the trade, I don’t think Philly takes it. Maybe throw in pick #51 as well. Then Philly would possibly do it. Magic should do it in a heart beat no matter what.

The Scare Crow RisesParticipantI wouldnt want Mudiay though, maybe the Magic include Gordon and take Hezonja at 5…
The 76ers can trade a future 1st for a PG later, seeing how Bledsoe, Lawson, Collision, Teague and Jennings may be available for the right price…
I think it would take a lot for me to trade the #3 unless the Magic included Gordon and selects Hezonja for us, the potential of Russell or Porzingas to become stars is too high to pass on for Mudiay and Fournier for example…If they want Kristaps they’ll have to part with Gordon + the 5th pick, they can just resign Harris to play Gordon’s role…

EndlessknightParticipantI don’t see how Gordon would fit with the Sixers, would much rather have their ’16 first round pick.

Robb_CParticipantYou’d have to think D’Angelo doesn’t want to go to Philly cause of the way Sam Hinkie treated Evan Turner.. Those OSU guys stay pretty tight workout together in the summer.. I think Turner is in Russells Ear for sure.

PhillySteveParticipantIf D’Angelo Russell is taking NBA advice from Evan Turner he’ll be a bust too. But he probably isn’t that stupid and all the Knicks fans just making stuff up. How did 76’ers treat Turner badly, by raising his expectations as a result of him being a #2 pick?

Bed HeadParticipantAnyways, I seriously doubt Russell’s (supposed) comments scare the 76ers. Nor should they. He has no say in the matter. Hinkie’s only concern should be the best interests of the franchise.
And while I’m a fan of Fournier, the Magic will have to do better than that (to move up), imo.

MattP31ParticipantNot happening for Fournier. I can see the Sixers and Magic hooking up for a trade like this, but the Sixers got more last year when they and Orlando did another deal for 2 spots. If Philly got a first rounder for dropping from 10 to 12, imagine the price to move from 3 to 5, still 2 picks but it’s coming in a higher tier of talent

Willfb3ParticipantI feel y’all are are undervauling Mudiay. He has potential to be the best player in this draft class. There’s a chance he gets picked over Porzingis anyway, and Fournier looks like he’s going to be a very solid player as well. I’m a Sixers fan and I was worried I was going to get ripped for favoring them, not the other way around.

shootingstar11ParticipantI think it makes sense for Knicks to trade w/ Magic.
NYK’s #4 pick for Magic’s #5 and #51 picks…..
Magic get their boy, Porzingis, and Knicks can get Mudiay to run PG and a pontential asset with #51 pick….

TenSecondTomParticipantThe Magic moved up from 12 to 10 last year through the Sixers to select Elfrid Payton and gave up a first round pick to do it. Gonna need a lot more than Fournier to go from 5 to 3 and it’s gotta be something Philly wants.

TankensteinParticipantThe Russel doesn’t want to be a Sixer stuff has got to stop. It’s bullshit. Russel himself called it a "misdirection" on Sports Center. That said, as a Sixer fan, I stay at 3 and take Russel. The team that might fleece Orlando this year would be the Knicks. Their 4 pick might turn out to be the Porzingis slot, and a bidding war might ensue.

MofoParticipantFleece orlando? Last time I checked payton was first team all rookie and Dario saric has no plans to come over anytime soon.. That 1st rounder that philly recieved was part of d12 trade that’s ultra protected and could turn into 2nd rounder.. If there was a redraft payton would be too 5 and philly still looking for pg

OrlandoRickParticipantMofo is exactly right. Everyone thinks the Magic traded a legit number one pick to move up last year from 12 to 10 but very few people realize how protected that pick was and how it was likely to be a second round pick when it was all said and done.
No way Magic should trade anything to Philly for number 3. I think they are sitting pretty at #5. I personally think Porzingis will be there. He makes no sense to Philly (not that it matters much to the Philly front office) and I can’t see the Knicks asking their fan base to be happy about Porzingis when Mudiay and Winslow are sitting there available. Philly is crazy to take anyone but Russell IMO.
And although I realize he doesn’t fit with what the Magic need, my hope is the Magic draft Winslow. He’s a winner, a hard worker, and he’s built like a truck. The Dwayne Wade and Harden comparisons are obviously a stretch but they would’ve been a stretch for both Wade and Harden when they came out too. Give me that body with that attitude and work ethic and I’ll figure out how to make it work.
