Not sure many of you knew this, but was reading some draft notes, and it said that if the kings land the 1st pick, they must hand it over to the sixers as part of the Nik Stauskas cash dump trade last year. yes, the probability is not very high (2%) of the kings landing it, but say they do., and sixers are bumped 1 spot down and lakers bumped to fourth, they will actually have the 1st , 2nd and 4th picks.

Simmons Ingram and Murray/Dunn would be quite a haul

The 76ers have the right to swap picks with the Kings in 2016 and 2017. The protected first round pick cannot be acquired until 2018 since the Kings owe Chicago a first round pick. I coud be wrong, but that’s what a quick google search turned up.

That’s right.  Since the Kings are likely to keep their pick this season (top 10 protected), their pick will go to Chicago next year and the 76ers will receive the Kings unprotected first round pick in 2019.

If the kings retain their pick next year under the protection the Sixers can swap for the higher of the two …That’s why people said Hinkie robbed the Kings because in the west there is no way they are not top 10 in the lottery.

Bulls receive Kings 2016 first round pick. Top 10 protected. 2016-2017, or second round pick in 2018 (top 55 protected) or extinguished

It’s not possible because they would basically swap picks. So the Kings would get the #2 pick and Philly would get #1 (from Kings) and the Lakers pick (if it falls out of the top 3).
