an NBA Finals without at least one of these 5 players:
MJ, Horry, Duncan, Kobe, Wade
Combined they have 29 Finals appearances
You can can swap:
Pippen for MJ
HAKEEM, Kenny Smith, Sam Cassell, Vernon Maxwell, Carl Herrera for Horry
*Gave Horry the nod over Hakeem due to his 7 finals appearances…and victories) Kobe and Ducan overlap him with his time in LA and SA.
Fisher for Kobe
Haslem for Wade
Times when these 5 lost in the finals:
04 kobe
06 wade
08 kobe
11 wade
13 duncan – wade won (only time one of these 5 played against each other in the finals)
Just thought this was a unique stat that one of those 5 have participated in each final in the past 22 years.

Was going to mention the Wade error but beaten to it. A really interesting stat, do you thin we’ll be able to say a similar thing in 2023 about the 20 odd years since ’01? And if so who would be the players?
