    http://sports.yahoo.com/news/nba–suns-pursuing-trade-for-knicks-guard-iman-shumpert-003613494.html#more-id

Wojnarowski is the man, but obviously this trade is highly unlikely. But my real question is, what are either of these teams thinking right now? This trade aside, the Knicks have reportedly been trying to move Shumpert, and the Suns have been trying to acquire players for over a year now.

Shumpert is the only young player in the Knicks rotation. He’s the only guy with room for really any improvement, and he’s been damn good since he’s got there. Why are they trying to move him? I just don’t get it. It’s only his 2nd year so its too early to be worried about not being able to resign him.

And the Suns really don’t get the whole rebuilding thing, do they? They tried to sign Eric Gordon in the offseason, and they’ve tried to trade for Rudy Gay, Josh Smith, and now Shumpert this season. Trading for one decent, non-all star level player is going to take your team from bottom feeder to mid lottery, a move that does nothing except limit your odds at bringing in the next superstar of this league. I know they have basically no future on their current roster, but why not bottom out? I have a feeling when people see Wiggins and Parker play next year, A LOT of teams are going to want to be as bad as possible so they can get one of those 2, whether they admit it or not. Why not go that route, instead of trying to bring in overpaid players in their primes to help your team suck a little bit less?

Hold your horses, I have not seen anywhere that the knicks are willing to move him, it’s just the Suns are interested.

The Knicks would be crazy if they did this trade, this seems like something they would’ve done in the Isiah Thomas era…

Shumpert was 1 of the nba’s best on ball defenders as a rookie and has the ability to play some point..In the East they’re going to need him to guard Wade,Pierce and Paul George…..And Dudley is a poor man’s version of JR Smith, they dont need him….Plus Shumpert is still on his rookie contract….

Not to mention he’ll guard Rose too.

I don’t think the Knicks are looking to move Shumpert he’s their best young players on a team full of vets.

Dudley I do like since he can hit the 3 and run the floor but not for Shumpert.

I’d rather the Knicks traded Novak and a lotto protected future 1st for Dudley.
