The Scare Crow RisesParticipantI’m a Philadelphia 76ers fan and I think they need to upgrade at SG, we need a true scorer or a 3 point threat at the position
I know we drafted Evan Turner with the 2nd overall pick in 2010 but couldn’t he play SF/PG in a point forward role?
We could trade Iguadola for another Lottery Pick or PF with an equal sized contract(Jefferson, Millsap, Gasol, Amare)
We could keep Iguadola and trade Evan Turner for a young PF like Derrick Williams or Derrick Favors, Utah and MInnesota seem like good places for ET to thrive
Bottom line is I love the Idea of adding Terrence Ross with the 16th pick, he can either become a Starting SG or the 6th man when Lou Williams leaves in Free Agency
Maybe it pushes Evan Turner at the position are makes way for a Trade(Turner or Iguadola has to be moved for a PF IMO)

JoeWolf1With Elton Brand aging and becoming less effective and there being the possibility of some quality PF’s left on the board I would think they’d maybe draft a guy like Terrance Jones, John Henson or Tony Mitchell. There’s also the possibility of someon like Arnett Moultrie or Perry Jones falling.
I’m guessing Iguadola is probably the odd man out, as Philly continues to build, but I think Evan Turner is more of a SG and would be more effective as one than a SF.
I think drafting a SG isn’t of paramount importance for the 76ers.

The Scare Crow RisesParticipantI respect your opinion, you are one of the best posters but I think SG is a great need for The Sixers
They started Jodi Meeks for most of the season, he’s a Free Agent this year BTW
Lou Williams was asked to produced a lot of offense off the bench, mostly from the Sg spot with Holiday or Turner playing the Point Guard role, yes Lou can play some Pg too but he’s a Free Agent after next season and I’ve always hated his height and shot selection even off the bench
I would argue that Pf isn’t the biggest need, as they still have Elton for one last season and can play Thad Young, Lavoy Allen and Craig Brackins at PF
now none of those guys are starting PF’s when Brand leaves but I’d rather trade for a Veteran PF to be honest
Henson, T.Jones and Arnett Moultrie are all fine options if Ross is gone, and I would definitly want to draft Perry Jones III if he’s still there when we draft 16th, but right now I’m intrigued with the Idea of adding a Scorer at SG
I think Turner will be traded for a PF in The Draft…

JoeWolf1I’m sure you watch the 76ers more than me, but I’ve seen the improvement of Evan Turner as a good sign for Philly’s future. Are you not as thrilled with his development, or do you just see his worth being high as a trading piece?
IMO, the 2nd round is a great place to take a shooting guard. Look at Meeks, he’s a 2nd rounder, and Thornton, and Budinger were too in that same draft. Guys like Jenkins and Goudelock have played good minutes this year. Why not take a more proven college PF in the 1st round and take a SG or Combo like Kim English, Kris Middleton, Alex Young, or Tyshawn Taylor in the 2nd. I think all of those guys will be on NBA rosters in November.

benny15Participanti also want the sixers to take a pf also. i feel that Sulinger could drop to them and that they can take him with their 16th pick. and if i were the sixers, i’d want to keep the young nucleus of Turner, Holiday and Young since they are all close to each other’s age than Iguodala who will be 28 this season. Andre is in his prime right now while the other guys i mentioned are still at least 4 years away. between the him and turner, i would rather keep Turner because of the reason i stated above and the fact that Iguodala will give the sixers a better return in the trade. if the sixers want Derrick Williams, doubt Turner is enough to pry him away since he isnt as proven. but i do feel minny could bite if its iguodala they’re talking about.

The Scare Crow RisesParticipantWilliams is not the answer, Turner looks like a Point Forward, most NBA experts seem to agree with that statement…
Why not draft The Best pure scorer at the SG position and trade Iguadola for the PF, any one of the Teams with multiple lottery picks would take Iguadola for their lower pick if they have the cap space
We have to target SG with the 16th pick
I have the SG’s ranked
1. Jeremy Lamb
2. Brad Beal
3. Austin Rivers
4. Terrence Ross
5. Tony Wroten Jr.
6. Dion Waiters
7. Doron Lamb
8. William Buford
9. Will Barton
10. John Jenkins
Iguadola should provide us another Lottery Pick(Think Hornets,Rockets or Blazers) I wouldn’t count out the Suns trading their Pick for Iggy straight up either
We would definitly target a PF with any additional Pick
I want Perry Jones III, Thomas Robinson or Jared Sullinger
Henson or Moultrie would be a massive letdown IMO…
I want to hit a home run in this Draft so if we’re on the clock and Perry Jones is there at 16th he’s the pick, other than than that happening I say get the best Scorer/Shooter Available at 16, that may come down to Rivers vs. Ross, I like Ross’ size and ability to finish at the rim, Rivers seems like the better shooter though
I see us picking Ross and allowing Rivers to be drafted by The Celtics somehow…
Iggy should get us a Draft Pick in The Lottery, I just hope that Jones III or Sullinger is still there with that pick

chocboywndrParticipantI think by the time workouts are done Ross will be gone by 16. He looks like lottery talent to me.
