Mr.BigShotParticipantIt was so much potential talent, that I think the nba should try looking into it.

Mr.Knick 32ParticipantI’ve been saying that since last year. The NBA should do 3 Rounds
– Allow the HS Kids to enter
– Do NBA Draft 3 rounds
– Expand the NBDL to 30 teams, all players drafted in round 3 are sent to the NBDL or can remain overseas
Makes the draft interesting IMO and gives the NBA a Farm System.

DanEboyParticipantNot enough roster spots. Unless they incorporate a TRUE minor league system I don’t see this happening.

sheltwon3Participant3 rounds is bad. Soon people will be thinking 2 rounds is a waste of time since 2nd rounder have no guarantee.

OhCanada-ParticipantHelll NO!
This talent will not go wasted I assure you. Summer League will be much more competitive. NBA D-League will be much more competitive. Many role players will come from undrafted players. Not only that but College players that are Freashman or did not declare will get increased roles, which will present better oppurtunities for them to develop into NBA level prospects.

OhCanada-ParticipantI do like the idea of 30 D-League teams thou those things take time and cost money. You cant just say hey why not have 30 D-League teams and have it happen overnight.

TyroberParticipantThere usually isnt this much talent in the 2nd round. This year was different. I agree with everyone else though, there would have to be an actually system set up where everyteam had a DLeague team

knicksfan7ParticipantThe draft used to be a lot more rounds, and it has decreased, so I do not see an increase. Also, I bet the NBA has looked into what would happen if the D-League had 30 teams, and in all likelihood they would have lost money making it not worth it.

mikeyvthedonParticipantCosts too much of it guys. Is the D-League making money for the NBA, or losing it? I have a feeling it is the latter. This draft is really deep, but, at the same time, players go to summer leagues, and get the chance to show and prove for a number of different NBA options. To me, a player not getting picked can be a blessing as much as a curse. Sure, it must hurt not to be taken if you know you have the ability to play, but at the end of the day, if they make that roster, I am pretty sure it is all good.

Counting StarsParticipantI think some of the guys who don’t get drafted are actually put into a better situation for them. If they don’t get drafted, they can pick which team they go to mini-camp, summer league or training camp with as opposed to trying to make some team that may be a bad fit for them, but took a flyer on that player on a whim.

Mr.BigShotParticipantYep, just wondered, how many Wes Matthews type players are in the draft, and yet go undrafted
