Knicksboy34ParticipantI was looking on ESPNNEWS and they were talking Iverson. I teams looking at him were Memphis and Miami. the 1st thing that popped in my head was NY. Do you think he could be a good fit?
0 - Posted on: Sat, 07/04/2009 - 9:27am #175655
the barronParticipantHe’s still a great player. He isn’t the same type of player since his Philly days but this guy can still score 20 or more points a game. It’s not like the Knicks are an established playoff team with a set core of players so yeah AI would help NY.

Stanford hoopsParticipantgood pick up if the contract is just for a year..that way they can stay competitive this year but after that it makes no sense since they are trying to save money for next year
0 - Posted on: Sat, 07/04/2009 - 9:35am #175662

Knicksboy34Participantso like a 1 year- 6 mil deal? I think if he can run the PG spot….he would be a solid addition
0 - Posted on: Sat, 07/04/2009 - 9:37am #175663
Stanford hoopsParticipantyeah..doubt he takes that though..he wants nearing 9 mill to 10…reports are that hes most likely gonna go to the grizz because they will and can offer him more then other teams
0 - Posted on: Sat, 07/04/2009 - 9:41am #175666
da guruhell no resign nate and david lee
0 - Posted on: Sat, 07/04/2009 - 9:43am #175667

Knicksboy34ParticipantNate robinson is a good player on a bad team…Lee is looking more and more gone.
I would let nate walk.
Trade Lee and
sign Sessions or Iverson
0 - Posted on: Sat, 07/04/2009 - 9:45am #175669
Stanford hoopsParticipantactually check out hoopsworld..lee is said to be going to the blazers…i like nates game but the problem is he looks to score more then he looks to pass..not something you really want out of a pg unless they are making others better and getting up to 10ast
0 - Posted on: Sat, 07/04/2009 - 9:48am #175670

Knicksboy34Participantoffer sheet deal? The Knicks can match…. or a sign and trade
0 - Posted on: Sat, 07/04/2009 - 9:53am #175671

OldSkoolBasketballParticipantLee won’t like to backup aldridge if signs with portland.
0 - Posted on: Sat, 07/04/2009 - 9:54am #175673

Knicksboy34ParticipantI would sit for 10 mil
0 - Posted on: Sat, 07/04/2009 - 9:57am #175676
Stanford hoopsParticipantwhy dont you think he would like to back him up??..you talked to him or something?..lol…i think ill wait to hear what lee says about going to portland….i would sit for alot less than that….i sat while in venezula for 40k for 6months my first time overseas and wasnt too sad..lol
0 - Posted on: Sat, 07/04/2009 - 9:58am #175677

OldSkoolBasketballParticipantI don’t think we would pay 10 mil for a backup.
0 - Posted on: Sat, 07/04/2009 - 10:02am #175678

Knicksboy34ParticipantWell…go on hoopsworld and read it. He wants 10-11 mil so either you guys are gonna pay him or a sign and trade looks likely
if i was the knicks…i would want a 1st rounder.
0 - Posted on: Sat, 07/04/2009 - 10:06am #175679

Tha King2121ParticipantIm just wondering y do u knicks fan hate chris duhan?
0 - Posted on: Sat, 07/04/2009 - 10:08am #175680

Knicksboy34Participanthe is clearly a backup PG. The Knicks need a legit starting PG. Duhon is a good player but better off the bench.
0 - Posted on: Sat, 07/04/2009 - 10:14am #175682
Stanford hoopsParticipantlol..yeah i never understood the thinking of him being a starter full time..and the portland thing is suppossed to be a sign and trade..im guessing outlaw will be going and maybe blake though i doubt that unless protland has a pg target in mind
0 - Posted on: Sat, 07/04/2009 - 10:17am #175684

Knicksboy34Participantjosh..
David Lee (5 year-55mil) traded to Portland for Fernandez, Draft Rights to Mills and 2010 2nd rounder?
0 - Posted on: Sat, 07/04/2009 - 10:20am #175686

RickyRubio9ParticipantJosh dude. You play overseas?
0 - Posted on: Sat, 07/04/2009 - 10:21am #175687
Stanford hoopsParticipantrudy will love that system..pretty good building blocks for when they sign 2 stars next year
0 - Posted on: Sat, 07/04/2009 - 10:25am #175690

Knicksboy34ParticipantI know, he’s crazy near the hole man. Plus he can shoot. Solid player next to Gallo and Hill
0 - Posted on: Sat, 07/04/2009 - 10:29am #175691
Stanford hoopsParticipantit will be interesting to see how he does considering hes gonna be a starter now and playing more against other teams first units and having defenses focused on him
0 - Posted on: Sat, 07/04/2009 - 10:31am #175693
Stanford hoopsParticipantthe having to guard a joe jonhson d wade vince carter ray allen gilbert arenas igudala ben gordan rip gerld wallace micheal redd..now we gonna really see what hes made of
0 - Posted on: Sat, 07/04/2009 - 10:33am #175694

OldSkoolBasketballParticipantWho are you talking about?
0 - Posted on: Sat, 07/04/2009 - 10:34am #175696
Stanford hoopsParticipantrudy fernandez
0 - Posted on: Sat, 07/04/2009 - 10:44am #175700

Knicksboy34ParticipantI hope they add him. Walsh would be smart to add Rudy. I think he would start off the bench though because Hughes is still in NY
0 - Posted on: Sat, 07/04/2009 - 10:46am #175705
deuce4offAt this point in his career, Iverson is a shell of his former self, yet he still thinks he’s 23. Iverson’s a cancer at this point in his career and isn’t a good sign for any team.
0 - Posted on: Sat, 07/04/2009 - 10:50am #175707
Stanford hoopsParticipanta cancer?..how u figure…he wasnt a cancer in denver and it wasnty his fauly that dumb a$$ joe dumars traded for him when they already had guard..not one player or coach in denver said he was a cancer in denver ..yeah he isnt the same iverson as in the past but hes still better then most of the players in the nba
0 - Posted on: Sat, 07/04/2009 - 10:53am #175709
praimalParticipantrudy is for real!!but the rudy-lee trade it´s just a speculation,or did you guys read something?
i assume it´s not a real rumor, but make some sense for NY,they´ve get a great player with small salary so they don´t compromise the 2010 plan.
i see lee playing great minutes in portland but not much sense 10mill for lee, they´ve got needs in pg and a lot of players with rookie contracts and high salaries expected but if there,s an owner who puts the money it´s allen.
0 - Posted on: Sat, 07/04/2009 - 10:55am #175710
Stanford hoopsParticipanthmmmmm actually i havent been able to find that it went through anywhere…knicks where did u see that tha trade happened?
0 - Posted on: Sat, 07/04/2009 - 10:56am #175711
Stanford hoopsParticipantoh wait you put a question mark after u asked me…..im not sure that can happen cuz salaries dont match up
0 - Posted on: Sat, 07/04/2009 - 10:58am #175713

JoeWolf1If Iverson signs with New York, they will probably win a few more games, but unless they can get him for a short contract for cheap, he’s not worth it, He’d fit in with D’Antoni’s system, yes, but despite the fact the guy can still play a little bit if you put him on an unproven team that may struggle and not win a lot,i don’t think his attitude would be the best
0 - Posted on: Sat, 07/04/2009 - 10:59am #175714

Knicksboy34ParticipantWho is the big contract in Portland? Prizbilla?
0 - Posted on: Sat, 07/04/2009 - 11:04am #175716

OldSkoolBasketballParticipantDarius Miles contract.
0 - Posted on: Sat, 07/04/2009 - 11:05am #175717

Knicksboy34Participantyea…throw in Pryzbilla and the agreement to pay 1/2 of Miles Contract (4.5 for 1 year)
0 - Posted on: Sat, 07/04/2009 - 11:13am #175724
Stanford hoopsParticipanti wouldnt throw him in because of odens history so far with injuries..he just seems to get injured every year including college so you need joel as insurance policy..
0 - Posted on: Sat, 07/04/2009 - 11:15am #175727

Knicksboy34Participantyea, but maybe add a vet C and give the reigns to Oden….I think its time to see what he is made of….
0 - Posted on: Sat, 07/04/2009 - 11:16am #175729

OldSkoolBasketballParticipantAnyway Iverson would be good for 1 year but I don’t see that happening.
0 - Posted on: Sat, 07/04/2009 - 11:18am #175734
J-CHRISTOSParticipantIverson may not work anywhere,he needs to dominate the ball in order to feel apart of the team, the knick need legitimate improvement in order get free agents in 2010, they would be better off with Kidd. IVERSON is a team killer,a guard of his size can’t carry a team, unless he’s plays like chris paul that ain’t happening
0 - Posted on: Sat, 07/04/2009 - 11:19am #175735
deuce4offI guess you didn’t watch what he did in Detroit last year???
0 - Posted on: Sat, 07/04/2009 - 11:27am #175740
Stanford hoopsParticipanthis teammates there never said he was a cancer soooo where are u getting youre info from?..you talked to the players?..cuz they were quoted as saying he was a good teammate….or are u just guessing ?….knicks oden was thrown out there when he wasnt injuried..he tends to foul alot ..so the fact that he fouls and stays injured so far leads me to believe they wouldnt trade joel…plus joel is a very good defense of center which takes pressure off of lamarcus to be a great defender…im not sure what other free agent big man is out there that could replace joel…not including a rasheed wallace of course
0 - Posted on: Sat, 07/04/2009 - 11:33am #175747

OldSkoolBasketballParticipantA cancer is like Marbury.
0 - Posted on: Sat, 07/04/2009 - 11:38am #175753
Stanford hoopsParticipantthough he wasnt a cancer with the celtics last year..im not sure i count newyork because they dont know what the hell they were doing up there..that team is a cancer
0 - Posted on: Sat, 07/04/2009 - 11:39am #175755
Stanford hoopsParticipantits like when some one goes to the okland raiders and acts up..i just dissmiss it since it is the raiders
0 - Posted on: Sat, 07/04/2009 - 11:54am #175770
J-CHRISTOSParticipantHey guys is this a different time in basketball, guards like Iverson and Marbury can’t be faces of teams no more
0 - Posted on: Sat, 07/04/2009 - 12:08pm #175783
Stanford hoopsParticipantif youre good enough and win games you can be the face of the team ..winning and production combines solves all problems in sports
0 - Posted on: Sat, 07/04/2009 - 1:11pm #175808

MuggsyParticipantGood fit, he’d score a ton. But business-wise not a good deal.
0 - Posted on: Sat, 07/04/2009 - 1:31pm #175820
Stanford hoopsParticipantquestion define buisness wise because the team would definatly make money off of the jerseys and other things..iverson has proven that his stuff still sells…a one year deal for the right price works for them
0 - Posted on: Sat, 07/04/2009 - 1:32pm #175821

Knicksboy34Participanthe could be like a 1 year- 6 mil man and can improve his stock around the league as a legit #2 option
