Look i think JJ is a good playe personaly but in Orlando he is not used as well as he should be. I really want to see this kid succed. I’m just wondering what teams would want him? is it a good time to trade him? and what can orlando get for him?? here is one idea i thought of

They actually shuld trade him he jus simply isn’t tha player they drafted him to be, he has been inconsistent if anything, I think a trade wuld b good for both sides give him a chance to try and prove himself else where bcuz he simply hasn’t done it in orlando

Redick is like Kapono, Langdon, Casey Jacobsen, Morrision, and Sam Jacobson. Good college shooters who can’t get their shot off in the NBA. When will these GMs ever learn. lol.

That college scoring race was sure exciting between Reddick and Morrison, both dropping close to thirty a game, but neither one translated into a good pro, maybe if Reddick can find a new team he can find a nitch as a poor man’s Eddie House

Reddick’s been requesting a trade from Orlando almost since he arrived on the scene. I always thought it was interesting in that Otis Smith constantly refuses to trade him. That makes me think he has a lot more value than everyone thinks. I believe Otis Smith doesn’t want to trade JJ and watch him become a shooting machine with some other franchise.

During his first two years in Orlando, he was glued to the bench. I don’t care who you are, sitting on the bench for two consecutive years can destroy your confidence.

This past season was the first time Reddick actually got playing time when it counted. Unfortunately for JJ, Van Gundy was very inconsistent as to when he did and didn’t play. I think that also impacted his confidence.

I for one thought he played very well in the Boston series. Everyone claims he’s a liability on defense, but he played excellent D on Ray Allen. In addition, he demonstrated outstanding passing skills.

In the end, I think Reddick is still an open book. He’s very young, didn’t play his first two years, and played only sporadically last season. I don’t think we can say JJ Redick is a bust yet as he may turn into a very good player. If I had to guess, with consistent playing time, when he doesn’t have to worry about being taken out if he misses a couple of shots, I believe he will become an excellent shooting guard.

Remember, whenever Reddick’s in the game, the guy guarding him cannot possibly leave him to double team anyone else. So even if he isn’t shooting well, just being on the court is a big help to Dwight Howard down low.

If he were to be traded, I think the Knicks would be the perfect destination.

I still think Rederick can be a good player as well but Orlando’s system is not really key for him. he would be a beast for Mike D in New York. I watched him play in the finals and he seems to play scared sometimes and also he plays too quick for his game. HIs timing is messed up and he seems scared to shoot. He moved pretty well on offense and defense. Also as a 3rd or 4th option on many teams he would not be bad. If he had a more defined role off the bench he would be great. Lakers would love to have him because we could use some more shooter with the ones we have not showing up much. Kobe would tell him to shoot just like he told Ariza. Morrison could be a bust but if you look at Rederick he could actually be good and also he looks like he can get his shot off against most players his size. He may need to add a few step back moves but his range is so large that should not be a problem for him.

I just don’t see it. He was a top 10 pick so if they thought he could play orlando would play him. He shot .37% on threes which is pretty bad for someone who mostly gets wide open looks and that being his specialty.

They have to give up on Redick as a lottery pick. For as long as the expectations are for him to be the same player he was at Duke, he will always be a disappointment. If teams/GMs can get beyond that, there may be a role for him as a specialist shooter off the bench.
