Sewok15ParticipantI agree with all of them except I think Gordon should come out. He is a first round lock in my mind because his athleticism and defensive potential. If Arizona makes a deep tourney run and Gordon plays well I think he should leave. I think he could come back and improve his status slightly as a more focal point of the Zona offense next year however to truly excel at the next level he should step up his competition. He is a guy with a big time work ethic and to be able to focus all of his time playing basketball instead of attending college would benefit a guy like him in my mind.
Rodney Hood- Go- He has looked pretty awesome this year and although Parker gets more attention by the media and opposing defenses Hood should be first team All-ACC. Next year Duke is bringing in more talent so Hood could most likely excel again on a quality team with other good scoring options. It will be hard to move much higher than the top 10 and with him losing a year already on the transfer I would think he should enter.
Jabari Brown and Jordan Clarkson- Stay- Both guys are playing great and should be first round selections but I think if they both came back for their senior years they could be a big part of a really great team next year. I think Brown is really underrated right now because he is only 6-4 but he is strong and shooting the lights out. I could see both of them being lottery picks next season and I am not sure that would be the case right now.

SpaceghostParticipantI think the Harrison Twins will go pro or will transfer. I think Coach Cal has had enough of both of them. The are not a good fit for Coach Cal’s drive and kick offense and are terrible teammates.
Gary Harris Mich St. – GO He is a high level scorer, puts the ball on the floor, handles it will enough to get his own shot, and scores well without the ball. He is better than both Ben Mclemore and Bradley Beal IMO.

kazamParticipantWayne Selden–Stay. From the Kansas games I have been able to catch Selden has been unimpressive. He was advertised as a defensive stopper, play maker and finisher extraordinaire. He hasnt really delivered on the lofty expectations, and by no means is that his fault, they were unrealistic to begin with. Selden could use another year of developing his handle, perimiter game and realizing what will make him sucessful as a leaguer. He will never be Wade, but he could (assuming he puts in the work on his jumper) end up as a solid two way guy. Worst comes to worst he could be a pitbull in the Tony Allen mold.
Joel Embiid–Go
Jabari Parker–Go. Regardless of shooting slumps or Mormon missions, Jabari should cash in on the season he has had thus far. If its even possible, I expect Jabari to rise through workouts.
Noah Vonleh–Go. He is an excellent rebounder and his stock is incredibly high.
Jemari Grant–Go- I only say Jemari should declare becasue of his potential as an athlete. I am not a fan of his because he has no set position, but the longer he stays at Cuse the longer scouts have to understand that, critique his game and his limitations.
Zach Lavine–Stay
James Young–Go.
Harrison Twins–Stay. The twins have shown very little to prove to anyone that they are NBA-ready. I have no idea what they will decide to do but if i were someone close to them I would be encouraging them to stay another year in Lexington.
Aaron Gordon–Go. While Aaron Gordon is determined to prove to scouts that he can play the 3, most seem to still regard him as a future 4, which is good for Gordon, so long as he accepts that fact. To me, and I expect to be in the minority, Gordon is a bouncy athlete reminiscint of a guy like Tyrus Thomas. Gordon’s motor runs a whole lot hotter than Thomas’ ever did which works in his favor, but their lack of polish offensively and athleticism are clear similarities to me. Nonetheless, Gordon should declare and find himself an NBA player for the next 15 years.

kazamParticipantJust to be clear also,
I do not think Gordon and Thomas share the same qualities as a player mentally, Gordon has been described as an ultimate teammate and he is quite unselfish. Which contrasts greatly with Thomas, but physically they have some similarities as well as the desire to be a "3".

GoJOSH HUESTISParticipantBad teammates based on…… They get along with all their teammates and they all hang out so that "bad teammate" thing is false. You are also doing what so many do when talking about the twins, you are making them into one player instead of two. Aaron is actually having a very good year on offense and defense. His year is comparable to many freshmen two guards who were ranked high in H.S and became very good NBA players. Andrew’s year has been rocky but his season and numbers compare favorably to other past NBA guards when they were freshmen.

imAboutDatActionParticipant1.Selden. stay. he can be a lottery pick next year, if he leaves this year he will be in the lower end of the 1st.
2.Embiid .Go . top 3 pick Lock, take advantage of it now.
3.Parker.Go. top 3 lock, take advantage of it now.
4.Vonleh.Go. possible top 10 and lottery Lock.
5.Grant.Go. he will get drafted in the 1st ,possibly lottery, jus off his tools and athleticism. People dont really know his real position right now and if he stays he can possibly be exposed as a tweener. he should take advantage of his stock and age right now and dont take any risk.
6.Lavine.Stay. his play has been declining and he will be drafted towards the lower end of the 1st right now. with more time and devlopment he can be a top 10 pick next year. i love his tools.
7.Young. Go. will be a lottery selection.
8. Harrison Twins . stay. they are coming on right now and fringe 1st rounders at this point, some people have them in the 2nd. they can continue to improve their stock and work their way back into the lottery next year jus like they were projected before this season because both of them have the tools.

Memphis MadnessParticipantAnother guy who might have to make a big decision soon is Tyler Ennis. He is a freshman point guard, and usually, those guys should stay, BUT his team has been highly ranked all year and he hit a monster buzzer beater a week ago.
If Syracuse makes a deep tourney run (Final Four) and he plays well then I could see him coming out. He is compared to Mike Conley who was a Final Four point guard who went pro after his freshman year.
Right now, he is at 13 on the mock draft, and he is someone to keep an eye on. Usually guys in the top 10 or so should go pro, but this draft is deeper, so guys in the top 15 or so might want to declare.
Marcus Smart is something of a cautionary tale for coming back (nothing is guaranteed), so that might be something for Tyler Ennis to think about.
In my opinion, if Ennis finishes the year strong, has a great tournament, and Syracuse makes the Final Four, then he should declare for the draft if it looks like he will be a lock in the 10-15 range at a minimum.

machu46ParticipantMy gut feeling is that his draft stock will only continue to decline the longer he stays in school just because I don’t think he’ll improve all that much from the player that he is now. It’ll be interesting to see what he does because of that. He strikes me as a guy that came to Syracuse knowing he would be here at least 2 years, but it might be too tempting to go now.
Having said that, I also envision him being a likely candidate to be the projected top 10 pick that ends up falling a bit on draft day to outside the lottery. There aren’t that many teams that need a PG, and he’s not the high upside PG that you see many rebuilding teams take. He seems more like a guy that a team that’s just a PG away would take to see if he can patch the hole and take that team to the next level, like a guy that the Pacers would target (but obviously he’s likely going to be picked before they get a chance).

runBruceParticipantI’ve always been a believer in leaving when your stock is high. The higher the stock, the more I’n in favor of walking. Some of these guys, if they come back, will have bad years or injuries which may result in a lower draft position or an non-guaranteed contract if they drop into the 2nd round. I bet Mitch McGary wishes he came out last year when people were projecting him as a lottery pick. Guys like the Harrison Twins who right now are border line 1st rounders should probably go back to school.

Jester87ParticipantWayne Selden With Wiggins and Embiid leaving he should stay. Also, he has still a lot to work on his game.
Joel Embiid Go. Everything he could learn in college he already has. If any, playing against those 6’7" college centers could stop his development
Jabari Parker Go.
Noah Vonleh Could work on his game, but he’s a lock for the top 10, so I’d say go
Jemari Grant If he’s a lock for the top 20 he has to go, though I don’t like his game at all.
Zach Lavine Not ready, should stay.
James Young His game still needs work and he doesn’t look mature enough, but Kentucky is a bit of a mess and has good chances to go in the lottery, so probably better go.
Harrison Twins Should stay, but I think at least one of them will make a mistake
Aaron Gordon Probably go
Stauskas Should at least test the waters, if he’s likely to be a first rounder better go.
