Just watched Michigan get DOMINATED by Iowa, in a game where Glenn Robinson III scored only 2 points. Every shot he took was off by a lot, highlighted by a three pointed at the top of the key that only hit the backboard. He doesn’t hustle, and it never really looks like he’s interested in whats going on around him.

The guy can jump, but so can a lot of other people. Should he be selected in the first round based on his potential alone? I’m not really seeing much else to go off of for him here. The worst attribute a player can have is a lack of effort, and he’s been showing that pretty consistently.

At the start of the year he was like 7th on here.  I guess the proof is in the pudding.  He’s got the name….but maybe not the game.

Some people say his stock has fell so low he’d be a 2nd round pick if he comes out this year…. But i think his game is more suited for the pros…

GR3 can take it to the rim,he’s a great athlete, good shooter, fundamentally sound and he grew up around the game…Maybe playing in a pro system with better players will bring out the best in him….

His trajectory is exactly what I saw out of Tim Hardaway Jr, though they have different skill-sets. Promising Fr year, slump Sophomore year. Tim also had issues with ballhandling and shooting in his sophomore year. This is to say, I think everyone on Michigan should return for another year.

Never been high on him and thought he got too much hype but I also don’t see how he’s any worse than DeRozan was at USC and he’s an all-star now so with the style of play in the NBA and some growth and development he could prove me wrong

It also hurts that Beilein runs everything through PnR. Glenn isn’t someone you want to use high ball screens so Caris and Nik become their top offensive options. He doesn’t have "shake" in him and can’t get his defender dancing which is why those easily stripped, easily contested straight line drives from the wing he always does makes me cringe.

He is a knock down mid range shooter and he has shown post up ability but when he gets out to that 3 point line, he tends to fade and not get his feet set. Everytime he has time to get himself square (which is rare), he usually knocks down his perimeter shots, but he definitely needs to speed up his jumpshot.

The Wolverines don’t run tons of motion so Glenn can’t run off screens and curls, which he is very good at doing. Michigan is also really efficient at transition offense but they ranked near the bottom of NCAA teams that actually get out in transition. GR3 would obviously feast on fastbreaks.

If he had went to a Pac12 team that liked to run, didn’t play him at the 4 spot and emphasized player movement in the half court, Glenn Robinson would look like a star.

I think Stauskas and maybe even Caris LaVert are better prospects than GRIII. He is a wing that can’t shoot from the outside…guys like that have trouble making it in the league…and unless you can defend like Tony Allen or have some other elite skill it will be hard to crack a rotation. I personally think there are at least 30 better prospects than him at this point and wouldn’t take him until the 2nd round.
