i’m jus so offendedParticipanthttp://sports.espn.go.com/ncb/news/story?id=6290035
i think this a smart move on his part, NC State is wack, they haven’t been great since Jimmy V and Mizzou well they screwed the pooch on this one, I dont know if he would have taken it but atleast try ya know? He’s got most of his guys coming back, which are a bunch of athletes, I have no idea what kind of recruits he’s getting but I’m glad he’s sticking around. I feel like another year and he should get a premier job, not just an average gig like NC State

BKKnicksfanParticipantGood for VCU, but I’m curious how they do next season seeing Rodriguez and Skeen are gone.

OhCanada-ParticipantEvery once in a while you have to set pride aside and use your brain. Bad decision to stay at VCU, unless he manages to pull off another NCAA Tourny invite and upsets someone at least in the first round.
NC State, and Mizzou may not be "premier" programs but they get 5 star recruits on occasion, and if Shaka had his word cut out for him, within these programs he would be able to make much more noise then in VCU.

ghettosermonParticipant^^ How is he not using his brain? First off if anything it shows his loyalty and appreciation to the program who gave him his first head coaching job. Secondly I’m sure he wants to get his own recruiting class into VCU and build his own legacy. IMO afer this final 4 run and it would have to be an enticing job offer to leave VCU. If NCState is the best job out there for him, heck I’d do the same and take that 1.2 mil a year at VCU. I think this shows confidence in his ability to coach and maybe in a couple of years he revisits making a change at a big program. It’s really intresting to see if he would have taken the Missouri job, I guess we will never know.

knicksfan7ParticipantRodriguez was probably the 3rd or 4th best player on that team. He’s going to be alright Shaka. He runs a player friendly system that will garner very good recruits. I see VCU making future tournaments. Shaka is a very good coach.
