HomerKangParticipantIs there any Sixers fan here who thinks, like I do, that its a good idea for them to use one of their five 2nd round picks to take Napier so that we can have a backup to MCW, and do you think they will do it if he’s available, and if Deonte Burton’s gone ?
That would be such an unbelievable lineup for us for the future:
Thad Young
Doug McBuckets
Nerlens Noel
Andrew Wiggins
MCW
Off the bench: Shabazz Napier, Tony Wroten, CJ Fair, and a good FA.
How’s this for your eastern conference champs of the forseeable future ?

burgessfourParticipantI really don’t see the Sixers drafting Shabazz. It really comes down to needs & numbers. First, I don’t think they’ll use all 5 second rounders on players expected to be on the team next year. They may draft a “stash” player or two and/or move a couple number 2’s for future picks. No way they have 7 rookies and Noel start the season next year. That said, if you assume they take Wiggins/Parker that player gets added to MCW and Noel as starters next year. I really think they’ll try to trade Thad draft night to move up from one of their draft spots. I expect they’ll end up using 4 picks on players for next year’s roster, not seven. After their high round 1 pick they’ll have 3 picks left. Assuming the first pick is a SF, that leaves them with 3 picks to fill the PF/SG slots. The roster is too unproven and they have too many holes, they need to try to draft where they have gaping holes.
That said, I really like Shabazz

TRC1991ParticipantNo, the 76ers have a backup PG in Tony Wroten…The 6ers shouldn’t bring in more than 3 rookies for next years team

GrandmamaParticipantNo clue where Shabazz is going, but I feel he will be a quality backup PG in the league. He’s more of a scoring PG rather than a pure PG, but he’s got the ability to create off the dribble for others. Good outside shooter, great rebounder for his size (leads UConn in rebounding, scary..), quality defender despite lack of height/length.
