lakeshow22ParticipantShabazz said earlier this week that people think he’s not athletic and that he cant jump, but he says he’s been working on his athleticism a lot in Minnesota. Well in this first game in the D league he looked more explosive than he did at UCLA, though not quite the same as he was in high school.

hoopscopParticipantI have no doubt at all that Shabazz will be at least a solid starter level type in the league, right now he is lacking any confidence. I respect Adelman a lot but he will not develop young guys if ist not his project. Actually it is a shame, because Shved, Mboute are disasters. Yes, he will make it.

phila9012ParticipantLeading up to the draft the word was he was working hard. He is better fitted to develop in the NBA. I am a timberwolves fan and I kind of hope the timberwolves let him stay down in the D league for the rest of the year. He won’t really play on the Timberwolves this year, they are a veteran team hoping to make the playoffs. That would give him time to work on his game (hopefully his 3 point shooting) and mature so he can make an impact next year. No team has really done this before but I think it would be great for his development.

Lafferty DanielParticipantNBA teams have done this before. Jeremy Lamb and Terrence Jones spent most of their time in the D-League during their rookie seasons.

he_gets_bucketsParticipantThe one thing that still remains as a big question mark is his defense. If he can improve that to a respectable level, he’ll be a starter for a number of years down the track because he is a good spot up shooter and gives 110% despite people thinking he has attitude problems. I see him as a really good 3 and D player, in the mold of a Wesley Matthews, but obviously not as good of a defender as Wes.
