I along with everyone else on this site have marvelled at the team play and the overall brilliance of the Spurs in the playoffs.  After a game 3 blowout, let’s take a step back with the Spurs lovefest before we crown them champions.  They are a very good team, but are definitely beatable.  I got a little tired of hearing about their win streak and am glad OKC won game 3.  Looking forward to a great game 4.

At the begining of the playoffs I picked the Spurs to beat the Thunder in 7 and I thought that San Antonio-Miami would be a deadlock 50-50 toss up. I want to see how the young guys of San Antonio come back from this kind of beat down, but we all know Pop will make the adjustments, and I expect the Spurs to bounce back, and that they split the next two games in some order and San Antonio closes it out on the road in Game 6. However I would not be surprised to see OKC gut out three wins in 4 games, but whoever wins this series is the clear cut favorite against Miami. I wouldn’t say heavy favorite, but let’s face it, no matter how good Miami is playing, even with Bosh they have no depth at all. And for them to have a chance at San Antonio, Bosh must be healthy.

I think the Thunder are the most vulnerable against Miami, Lebron and Wade have the capacity to shut down a lot of their isolation scoring with great individual defense, but if the Spurs made it to the Finals I’d say they are the prohibitive favourite to win against Miami. They are very similar to last year’s Mavericks, and have the advantage of their best player at PG to boot.
