valentineThe New York Knicks will face the Cavs in the ECF.
You wont find anyone else in the basketball community say it. You won’t find New Yorkers say it. You won’t even hear Lala ‘Honey Nut’ Anthony say it.
Which is exactly why the Hype Machine’s threads have become ‘must-read’ NBA content that has come to define a generation.
Hear me out:
People are so quick to write the Knicks off due to an overwhelmingly poor run since they made the Finals several years ago.
But this is a team of destiny.
Porzingis is exactly the type of player to break out after the All Star Game. I believe hes a future MVP and is every bit the prospect of Joel Embiid, if not better.
Toronto and New York will go head to head in the ECF semi finals and all eyes will be on 2 of the most marketable franchises in the league.
Fans will lap it up in their billions, and the NBA will laugh all the way to the bank.
I’m a believer that D-Rose, Carmello and Noah all have an extra gear. Afflalo is a great matchup for DeRozan and the Knicks will get a lot of preferential treatment from the Refs en route to a major NBA payday.
They need some bench depth, but outside of Cleveland every team has significant weaknesses in the East and some veteran backups are never that hard to find around the trade deadline.
This is a .500 team at present, but will secure a seed in the 3-6 range and enter the playoffs as the hottest team in the league.
It’s bold. It’s brazen. It’s out there.
But 2016/17 is the season the Knicks bring the Hype.

BleedGreen808ParticipantNoah looks like a shell of himself. The Knicks have been getting better minutes out of Kyle O’Quinn and Hernangomez at center.

OhCanada-ParticipantThe Knicks are terrible I’ve been watching them and routing for them all year. They are horribly inconsistent and will struggle to make the playoffs. They are like the Jets in the NFL or the Leafs in the NHL the media really drives and controls that organization and its so overwhelming. If they are spending money and losing the media will lynch mob them at every site. You can tell even this year where they seem to be stringing together good games here and there it just seems like more of a sideshow then an actual team. Until they do a full scale rebuild and get the media to switch to an optimistic perception even during losses they will not turn the corner.
7th/8th seed max no more than 6 games.
