Sessions’ Agent Says Offer Getting Close

    Jul 20, 2009 6:25 PM EST
Ramon Sessions’ agent, Jimmy Wells, said Monday that an offer to his client may be near.

“We’re getting close with three teams,” Wells said. He confirmed that two of the suitors are the Clippers and Knicks.

It is possible that the Clippers’ trade to acquire Sebastian Telfair will cause them to drop out of the running for Sessions.

Wells said he did not know whether Milwaukee would match an offer sheet that the restricted free-agent Sessions signs.

“I don’t know what the Bucks are thinking,” Wells said

Let’s go NY. I hope we add him. Sessions could be a good player who boast Chandler and Gallo numbers

I’d love to see him in a Knicks jersey, and why would Clippers bring him in just to backup Davis?

Also, as much as I want him in NY, I have the gut feeling the Bucks will match any offer..even if its in spite kind of like what the Magic did with Gortat

That would be a great move for mike d’antoni and his system. He would get a true PG with great size and ability. An Chris Duhon would get back to what he does best coming off the bench. This is a definite step foward.

Not likely. Why add Telfair and Sessions to Taylor and Davis?

“It is possible that the Clippers’ trade to acquire Sebastian Telfair will cause them to drop out of the running for Sessions.”

I just said that in a previous post and somebody gave me a negative for it. It was probably you Clippers based on what you just said above.

Obviously I’d rather have Sessions over Telfair. Sessions is clearly the better player. However, now that the Clippers have traded for Telfair… Why would they need Sessions? The Clippers now have Baron Davis, Sebastian Telfair, Mike Taylor, Mardy Collins and even Fred Jones (who plays both guard positions). You only need so many point guards on one roster.

Right now unless Buck intend to sign and trade Sessions it would be stupid to keep him with Jennings playing so well. Bucks are kind of in rebuilding mode and I am think New York will try to work out a sign and trade so that they don’t get caught looking stupid like Portland did and Dallas. I will say this though that all the other moves Dallas made were remarkable. They added top notch pieces for almost nothing. Knicks has one year contract to offer so if they want Sessions they will probably give one up to make it work.
