OhCanada-ParticipantWho is the better prospect?
You have to pick Sergio De Larrea if he’s available in the lottery. He’s basically a better Egor Demin. It’s an absolute joke he’s not a consensus lottery pick in mocks.
He measures 6’6 barefoot 6’9 wingspan and can play as a true PG but can also be your offball shooting two guard. He defends and has positional versatility with his 8’5 standing reach. He’s a winner and won MVP of the 25 Spain Super Cup which is similar to the ACB in season tournament in which he scored 21 points in the Championship game. His team Valencia finished second in the ACB and went to the Euroleague final four which is the highest form of basketball competition in the world aside from the NBA. It’s just so crazy to me people aren’t drooling over this guys upside.

NorrinRaddParticipantSergio de Larrea has been on the international scene since he showed up a younger healthier Nikola Topic a few years ago. He is a little underrated being an international guy (so are all international guys in this class imo) But I don’t even know what a healthy Topic looks like for a sustained time yet. de Larrea has good positional size and actually I was considering putting him up against Wagler in this exercise because they are similar players. de Larrea is about 85% Wagler perhaps… That being said though at the end of the day, I think de Larrea is a rotational player/borderline starter at the next level.
Bennett Stirtz to me is going to play a similar role as Ty Jerome. Great role player and borderline starter himself making the most out of what he has. Good shooting and hands will get Stirtz by in the league.
If it were me, I wouldn’t touch either of these prospects in the lottery. I would start considering both players around pick 20-25 and they could last just outside the first round the way I see it. Not likely, but about as possible as either going lottery. I guess it depends on team of who I’d take, but in a vacuum I’d go with de Larrea. He’s slightly younger with better experience. My big board has these guys in the same tier.0 - AuthorPosts
