Can someone give me a breakdown of his game. Thanks

This site has him compared to Devin Harris.
His stats are looking good this year. His 3pt% is up to 44.7% although he is only attempting 1.3 3’s per game. Going by numbers he is creating a lot of contact.
Will he likely enter the draft this year?

 Basically, a scoring slashing PG who will be a tough cover in the NBA and would fit best as a nice boost off the bench in my opinion. As you pointed out in his 3PT%, he looks to have improved his offensive efficiency and have a quality basketball IQ if nothing else. I like the site’s Devin Harris comparison, and will add my own as I see him like a Jarrett Jack with range.

 I’m surprised no one had mentioned his vision and passing ability. If you go back and watch some of the Marquette game from 2 weeks ago, he displayed above average skills in those departments.

 BTW that was my first time watching him play and I came away very impressed with his game, despite have a loss with 10pts & 6 assist. Doesn’t take much or long for me to know if someone is a true baller.

I went to Xavier and follow the team pretty closely.  I might be biased, but Semaj is a stud and will excel at the next level.  His biggest threat is his 1st step, which allows him to blow by defenders and get to the rim.  From here, he can take contact from the low post guys, which allows him to get buckets.  This first step is also why he doesn’t take a lot of three pointers, he really doesn’t need to most of the time.  

In the recent game against Seton Hall, which we lost (our center messed up his knee in the first), he only had 4 pts in the first and dropped 24 in the second.  Literally dominated the offense end the whole 20 minutes possession after possession.  It’s been discussed that he’s the runner up behind McDermott for Big East player of the year, which is saying a lot, since it’s Xavier’s inaugural year in the bruising Big East.

While I think he’d be a steal based on where he’s projected, early 20’s, and I wouldn’t be surprised if he came back.  Players don’t usually go to Xavier to jump to the league, they go to get an education and mature as individuals.  Semaj would be able to graduate next year, which I believe is a goal of his.  On top of this, we have an incoming class that features players at 1-5 and a dynamic scorer in Trevon Blueitt.  Trevon, Semaj, and Jalen Reynolds (recently put up 17 and 15) all have NBA type athleticsm and should be a fun team to watch. A lot of this is going to depend on the tournament, i.e. he could pull a Jordan Crawford.

It’s also crazy to think how good the team could’ve been last year, as Semaj would’ve played with Dez Wells (Maryland’s best player) and Mark Lyons (played great at X and at Zona).  This team was dismantled due to Lyons being a "thug" and Dez getting rape charges that never stuck.
