piratejpParticipantSincerely doubt they’re looking at him with the 7th pick. They’ve brought in other guys projecting as mid-late first rounders (Snell is one for sure, and there was another I think but don’t recall who). To me it looks more likely they’re looking at moving into that part of the draft somehow. Maybe they want to trade back if they guy(s) they like at the top aren’t there when they pick? Although trading partners to move up in this particular draft might be pretty hard to come by, and stingy with what they’re giving back as a result.
That being said, Petrie was pretty unimaginative when it came to moving draft picks and he usually got owned when he did…so I never much expected the Kings to be aggressive and move up or down in drafts past. At the least, it will be interesting to see what the team does with a new regime in place.

HobbyOGParticipantRumors has it that Dallas is trying to trade there pick, and have a suitor in the works. Maybe they get the Mavs pick in draft him in that spot.

nick5354ParticipantI could not think of a worse place for Bazz to go than SAC and a worse player for SAC to draft.
They need play makers, players who don’t volume shoot and a player who can bring some all around ability to the team. They don’t need another guy who is going to volume score. Oh jezzzz

TheWizardParticipantFirst off, Shabazz is definitely not the guy I want my Kings to pickup, but man has it become trite to view Shabazz and the Kings as incompatible.
I have so much faith in the Vivek ownership group, Coach Malone and D’Allesandro that I would be fine with it. I would not be as dismissive about Shabazz. It is obvious he could have character issues, but if THIS conglomerate agrees he is a good choice, I wouldn’t think twice.

KayjayParticipantHe was originally the guy I wanted. I’m probably gonna get negged for it.
However in my defense! Remember, Harrison Barnes also fell a lil in the draft. And some people on this site had criticized him for being the top player out of highschool but average in college. Lol thats all I have in my defense. Oh and he scored pretty decently on a Ben Howland team.

MopgrassParticipantIf they draft Shabazz, the Kings should charge their fans extra because they get to watch FIVE one-on-one games at one time.

KayjayParticipantThe guy can move with out the ball. He can also catch and shoot off screens pretty well. I’m not going against the grain but I’m saying he does have some talent. If anything the main concern should be if he’ll ever learn to play the ‘2’, or will he be an undersized ‘3’?

BothTeamsPlayedHardParticipantIt is interesting that they have brought in Muhammad and Tony Snell in twice. Maybe It means nothing, but they do seem to be taking long looks at 3s. I hope it is not the case, almost fear it to be so. I think it is the worst possible fit for the Kings and Muhammad. The last place a guy who needs to learn to share the ball and defend should land is Sacramento. They have guys who can score 20, but they are literally nothing more than a bunch of parts.
