I know the fact that he is 24 playing against perdominatley 18-22 year olds gives him an advantage at this level of competition, but I will be very shocked if he goes undrafted on draft day. This is a guy who had to spend a post graduate year of high school in order to get more scholarship offers, redshirted as a freshmen and now one of the best players in all of college basketball. NBA teams have to be sold on his outside shot and his scoring ability in general. Although he is the oldest player who has a shot of getting drafted, his advantage in age should definitely not take away his shot of playing in the league. If I were a team that had a pick in the 31-39 range, he would definitely be worth a pick that high in the 2nd round.

i like his game as well but his major glaring flaw is that he has not proven to shoot a good percentage on the collegiate level. this could be because defenses can key in on him, but the fact is he has not proven to shoot a good percentage. i think that is more of a knock than his age, but i still think he can get drafted in the second.

Sean’s awesome. He’s not overly imposing physically, but the Jodie Meeks comparison this site has for him is very appropriate. He’s behind only Oscar Robertson on Cincinnati’s all-time scoring list. 2nd round pick for sure.

if he’s not drafted, i think he’s going to tear up the summer league and/or nbdl and get a shot down the road.

i think a team that likes to run and gun like golden st. would be a great fit.

Pure shooters get nabbed in the second round. Kilpatrick can not ony shoot the rock, but he’s capable of creating for himself as well. He’ll hear his name on draft night.

I think he could find a place somewhere in the league, but like you said, he’s 24 now, and he’s also a career 34.7% 3 point shooter, and looks to be an average athlete with average wingspan while being undersized height wise.  And he doesn’t really do anything outside of scoring.

I think the cards are kinda stacked against him.  Great college player, and there’s nothing wrong with that, but I think he’ll have a hard time making it in the league.

I’ve been lobbying for Kilpatrick for a while now but I somehow didn’t notice he was 24. Doesn’t mean much but Al Thornton always makes me nervous when it comes to old seniors, they peak early and find themselves overseas in no time.

Despite his age, Kilpatrick clearly has the ‘hard-worker’ label attached to him. The fact that he redshirted, and has now spent five years in college says that he is a pretty determined, hardworking kid. That’s going to work in his favor come June.

Even without him being drafted, I see him making a team, as he can have an immediate impact being a little more mature.

how is that undersized in today’s league? Think of all the starting 2 guards in the league and majority are 6’4 or 6’5.  I don’t understand how 6’4 is small.  Another thing, he’s decent defensively so he won’t be the liability that Jodie Meeks is.  I see more Courtney Lee than Jodie Meeks honestly.

I have him in my late 2nd, for now, but I don’t know if he’ll stick. He’s had a great season, and seems like a high character guy, but I wish he was a better long range shooter since he really is a small two guard. Reminds me of Brandon Paul…I think he’ll be in the mix, but I’m not convinced he’ll get his name called.

Chris Walker, Sean Kilpatric and Adrian Payne are on my 2nd round wish list(although Payne deserves to go in the 1st) I like guys that can step in and be used as a role player, I feel like Kilpatric can be a floor spacing SG off the bench, he can be a Raja Bell type and play on several winning teams…
