Michael.S.Participant1. Horrible decision today by LeBron. I would have picked Cleveland, NY, NJ, Chi, an LA before this. Not only is he leaving but he is buying a free ride to an NBA championship.
2. His legacy will be greatly greatly tarnished.
3. He blew a chance to be the greatest hero in all of sports and a savoir—the best ever
4. He has added to the catastrophies in his own home town, which possibly the greatest one of them all- “The decision” He went fromm hometown hero, beloved child of the city to hated backstabber.
5. I heard a statement like “dont wanna be 31 with no championships and busted knees”. I have a problem with this. If i were Lebron, the reward for winning a championship for Cle. would be soo high that I would take the risk of this and if it doesn;t happen than he oh well, but he could have signed a 3 yr extension…Was he not aware of this. He could have given it one more short crack at it and he would have been all of 27 had he still could not win one then he could have left
6. he also said championships are championships and winning in Chi would be the same as winning in CLe….Get real. The Heat wouldnt evven be his team. Cleveland has NEVER won and are a joke of sports, you LEAD your hometown like that to the promise land then…all hail the king….If he wins in Chi. so what? That is expected and that is pretty easy to do with that sort of bomb squad. Plus the downside is huge. What is he can’t win one even with Wade and Bosh?????????? That would be an incredible blow to him. If he loses in Cleveland than that is alright, at least he tried for them.
He made a bad choice. it ruins the legacy of a guy that could have been a savoir to a dead city, his hometown.

Hoops MaestroParticipantThey will count the same in Miami as anywhere else. This team will be great, but not unbeatable — too many rookies and minimum salary guys. He’s still going to have to earn it with the Heat.
Personally, I would have advised him to go to New Jersey though..
