SubZeroParticipantAny time he interviewed Pop is probably my favorite, without thinking too hard because I don’t want to get sad
NBA on TNT is gonna be heavy tonight. I don’t know if I’m ready to watch a tribute video that they’ve probably already made

BleedGreen808ParticipantI loved his interview at the All Star Game with KG. He was such a good sport about KG telling him to burn his whole outfit. I’ll miss his interviews with Pop as well.
Site won’t let me post the link but check out the NBA on TNT Twitter to see a really nice video tribute for Sager. Quite a few tears were shed while watching it.

BrentSuriaga01ParticipantBut hey, he is in heaven already and will not witness Donald Trump as the President.

Dazzling Dunks and Basketball BloopersParticipantI have to admit I always thought Sager was a cornball when I was growing up. He just seemed like a guy trying to unnecessarily draw attention to himself. Now that I’m older I can recognize and appreciate what he was doing and the role he played in the overall growth of the game.
I thought Kenny Smith made a great point earlier today when he asked the question of how many sideline reporters do you remember before Sager. It was basically an inconsequential position that Sager found a way to make entertaining and important. When he was reporting his interviews with coaches and players became part of the entertainment and must see TV rather than just an afterthought. The guy was a genius and I believe belongs in the hall of fame without a doubt.
Rest in peace to a true legend.

CynthiaParticipantNot much makes me cry, but I did when I heard he passed. I was so happy when he beat it into remission and came back to NBA reporting a while back. I didn’t even know he was sick again, but it must have came back quick & strong.
I always thought this guy was cool as a kid, I was a weird kid and he was a weird dude with all his crazy attire so I embraced him. He’s one of the few interviewers that didn’t make me cringe, I actually enjoyed when he was talking to players and coaches, I don’t get that with anyone else. I also like that he showed up in a few NBA video games over the years.
He will be greatly missed, his smile and charm was one of a kind. RIP Craig Sager
