Prior to the start of the season, I predicted the Kings would be a vastly improved team, that B. Udrih is a much better PG than people think, and they would no longer be the league doormat. I was even so bold as to suggest that they might make a run at the number 8 playoff spot. That last prediction may have been a stretch at the time, but now it isn’t looking like such a long shot.

Anyway, some of you agreed with my predictions, but the majority thought I was way off base, with the most venom directed towards B. Udrih. Let me repeat what I said, last year Udrih was injured most of the time and he was the PG on the worst team in the league. Who are you going to set up on such a lousy squad? I said you couldn’t judge Udrih accurately under those conditions and this season would be a much better barometer of his ability.

The team is currently at 500, about where I expected them to be. The only 2 surprises for me are the outstanding play of the team without Kevin Martin in the lineup and the performance of rookie Omri Casspi.

OK, I know we’re only 8 games into the season and there are 74 more games remaining on the schedule, but would some of you guys who shrugged at my predictions care to offer an opinion after the first 3 weeks of the season?

Tyreke Evans is playing great at sg, and Udrich’s play is much improved from last year, the real question is. What line up are they going to use when Martin returns from his injury? Let Evans continue to struggle at pg? Start Udrich and bring Evans off the bench at sg and pg? Or something else?

i said i just waited till he will play like that..can’t wait to see could Jennings still give the answer(Bucks really playing rare)

With out Kevin they are 3-0 with Tyreke avg 25ppg6.3rpg5.7!! wow

just imagine how happy they would be if they could draft Wall next year and trade Martin for good unselfish expierenced SF let’s say Diaw

They are vastly improved over last season, and as I predicted, they are no longer the league doormat.
