Love the Rocky movies, except this time its the Russians as the little guy facing off against big bad US of A. Hopefully its a fun game to watch.

I would love to watch it but unfortunately I have classes during the game 🙁 Why do the best games have to be on in the morning? Its so much better in the evening.

Please stop with the size fears. It is Sasha Kaun and Timofey Mozgov, not Shaq and Hakeem. Lamar Odom is 6’10 and better than them.
Russia has played some nice defense. They have some long wings who can at least make Durant work, and if they can get some stops and have Monya and Vorontsevich get going from deep, they can keep it close. If not, I’m looking forward to Saturday afternoon with Lietuva.

25-25 after the first. USA could be in trouble especially if Russia finds heat from the outside like they are capable of. Surprised at how the Russian’s are able to finish strong inside. What worries me is that even though it is a tied game most of USA’s points have come off strong individual one on one efforts, mainly Durant. With that style though you can’t rely on consistent scoring. The Russian’s however are getting into their sets and running anything they want. USA needs to run the floor hard and get fast break points.

It would be nice if Steph Curry was able to stay in front of anyone he guards. It would be nice. Golden State better beware if they ever bring in a coach who wants to play anything resembling a traditional style. There is no excuse for the Russians being able to penetrate the way that they are.

I’ve gained so much respect for Eric Gordon during this tournament, can’t wait to see what he does in the regular season. I’ll admit I wasn’t the biggest fan of him as a prospect because I saw him as an undersized 2 not even a combo, but he has a shot to be a new age Mitch Richmond.

splendi game russia princeton offense is very high level and the guards are speed and rapid durant is incredible he made some wonderful plays timofey has two fouls not good for russia but when has played he overcome odom in some plays great the surprise is dimitri khvostov 21 years 5 points and 3 assistgood match
