Anton123ParticipantHe’s not getting any PT for the Blazers, they can get something for him, maybe a pick or a big better than Sean Marks. Why not just trade him?

Zeke33ParticipantI agree. That also lets Babbitt get more run in. For some reason i see Rudy doing very will with the Spurs i just dont think a good trade can go thru with that.

omphalosParticipantHe was getting minutes early on, played well the first couple of games, but his shot wasn’t falling and Wes Matthews inexplicably ate up all his minutes. Honestly, this makes no sense to me, Matthews is a chucker from deep and Fernandez has a better basketball IQ, better jump shot and better size. Matthews vaunted D has not impressed me at all either. I can’t fathom what McMillan is doing, but please trade him or play him.

mikeyvthedonParticipantIt is incredibly tough to trade Rudy right now. With everything he has said about wanting to go home, it is incredibly difficult to get value for him. I would like him to be traded to somewhere he could play and maybe show his stuff, but even so, I think it seems quite possible that he ends up going back to Europe come his RFA season. But, you do have to wonder why the Blazers have not found some option for Rudy. But, than again, they did not exactly need Rudy for their game last night. If he does find a home though, he is definitely a starter at 2 guard somewhere in this league, though who knows if that will make him happy? Remember, over his first couple years in Portland, he averaged 24.5 minutes per game, so it was not an issue of him being a bench warmer. How many minutes per game will make Rudy happy? I think he truly wants to go back, he would be a superstar in Europe, and who knows if he will get the chance to be a star in the NBA.

The Scare Crow ReturnsParticipantThey want to be pampered and treated like Actors…They want women drolling over them and the money they make…They want to live like Ceasar in Rome when they already play in the NBA, where there is a King and open coliseum…If he wants to leave then let him leave, why trade him to New York and pamper his ego…If he wants tax free living while trying to avoid his european team robbing him or extorting him every year give it to him…He’ll be a superstar Spainard surrounded by a team full of bloated egos and dried up basketball skill, he can join the has been, never made it or screwed it up Amreican players over seas, He can be with the Juan Carlos Navarro’s and Sergio Rodriguez’s of the world….They’re such big stars over there, right….He’s ruining the value of a lot of foreign players in my eyes…will they all want there asses kissed, bills paided for and Spanish hookers swooning at every game…

Mr.Knick 32ParticipantHe actually got some PT earlier in the season ( he had like 22mpg in a game)
I still stand that Portland should have moved him earlier in the offseason and before signing Wesley Matthews. Had Portland this that, they would have gotten equal value for him. I doubt he’s not wanting to play in the NBA, I feel he doesn’t wanna play for Portland.
Right now? I think he stays in Portland.

The Scare Crow ReturnsParticipantThe Blazers are not trading Rudy to some dream destination after he bitched and complained all summer…That’s like giving your disrespectful kids a million dollar christmas present…Why would they do it for less then the moon and stars…Give the Blazers Randolph and Chandler, they’ll part ways with Rudy Fernandez…They will be content sitting that ass on the bench and let him day dream about the Summers in Spain…

Mr.Knick 32ParticipantI swear you don’t read sometimes.
The Blazers could have moved him all summer, some teams ( with a s at the end) wanted him (Boston, New York, New Jersey, Orlando) wanted him. Portland could have moved him but wanted a king ransom for a solid player. Then adding Wes Matthews made it tougher ( i feel it killed his value, some disagree) so he wasn’t gonna get PT in Portland, why not move him?
Also, the Knicks giving up Randolph/Chandler for Rudy is like the Sixers giving up Williams/Spieghts and a 1st for him: Stupid.

The Scare Crow ReturnsParticipantThey’d want Randolph for dam sure for Rudy, and that’s fair…But they’d also want to take Chandler off your hands with 1 of the two 1st rounders they have this year…They’d only give Rudy what he want’s if it gets them what they want/…that’s what I was implying with that statement

Mr.Knick 32ParticipantAlright, I didn’t understand there, my bad.
I dunno, I’m starting to not like Randolph so if we can do Chandler/Randolph for Rudy/ Hornets pick
I’m cool with that but I would like NY to also add another big man. Maybe someone in FA.

The Scare Crow ReturnsParticipantBut signing Melo and getting Dalembert for cheap would be great, he’s along shot blocking rebounder and can run and jump with the most athlethic centers in the NBA…that’s a real scenario for NY, not Melo and Oden…Oden will get 8 to 10 million from somebody in the NBA…and the Knicks can’t get Both Melo and a decent center and resign Chandler, so he’s expendible for the Hornets or Blazers pick…The Knicks will need cheap talent after they sign Melo…I’ve always said he’ll be a Knick if he hits the Market…

sheltwon3ParticipantGive Randolph a chance and Chandler has been playing too well to trade for anyone other than Melo that is available
