Tonight is the first matchup between the two and yeah i know its the preseason but im interested on how the two perform and if one will try to out play the other not like a regular preseason game but as a statement game like if im rose id try to thrash him to stop the comparisons and if im wall id try to do the same to prove i belong on the same court, any thoughts on the game tonight

I’m so mad this game isn’t being televised. Why can’t we at least see a glimpse of Derrick Rose vs. John Wall?  Why can’t we see Kirk Hinrich’s return to Chicago?  It’s preseason, but that’s all a bummer. Sigh. I guess I’ll have to listen to another radio broadcast.

i can see Rose being so hyped to play the game to prove that Wall isnt on his level just yet…and on then the coaching staff go up to him before the game and say "take it easy its just preseason..or dont get caught up to the hype" cuz of this i think Wall will have a better game

Anybody just see Rose get partially blocked by Wall on a pull-up only to have three Wizards players fumble to ball out of bounds… Wall seems to have potential as a great on the ball defender.

Wall will be better than Rose in a 2yrs I said it a couple days ago and Im sticking to it. I feel like Wall is a better playmaker and defender than Rose.

I love Kyle Korver. He is a sexy man-lion.

I would lather his body with scented oils.

    When’s Brewer coming back?

"Wall will be better than Rose in a 2yrs…"

Wall will be in the conversation, but I doubt he’ll be *better* than Rose in two seasons.

I think Wall has a chance to be better. IMO Wall will be the better point guard, Rose will be the better scorer and more explosive player. There are some areas which I think Wall is already better than Rose. First is man defense. Wall has extremely quick feet and stays in front of his man. Rose is constantly out of positition and burned by his man. As talented as he is offensively, he’s just as poor on defense. Second Wall is just a smoother player. I feel like Rose is so herky jerky. Yeah the Bulls last year had no shooters which is why their shooting sucked, but I feel like part of that is Rose’s fault. His game is so up and down while he can pass he doesn’t have a catchable ball. His players hardly ever get a shot in rhythm. Rose should know the sweet spot his shooters like to catch the ball. Being a PG is not just about getting the ball to your man, it’s about placing it for them where it is comfortable. John Wall just seems more decisive. If he decides he’s going to drive he’ll hit the basket and finish or dump it off. Rose is constantly weaving around I think sometimes his teammates are confused as to if he will shoot or not that often times what happens is that when Rose is cut off he has to make a pace on an unspaced floor and guys like Noah and Deng end up taking awkard shots because they are somewhat surprised with the pass. Rose is a guy who I think his athleticism right now is aiding his skills along. Wall I feel is a guy with skills who’s athleticism aids them. Either way they both have potential to be top 5 PG’s for the next 10 years and chosing one or the other is personal choice.

Wall, Rose, and Rondo all in the east will make for some serious battles for years to come

Just like with Chris Paul and Deron Williams, this isn’t a debate that’s going to be decided in only two seasons. That’s why I think saying, "Wall will be better than Rose in two seasons" is silly.

It’s not like Rose is done improving or getting better. The same goes for Westbrook. They’re both only 22 years old. This is a debate that’s going to go on for a long time.

Yeah, I think since Rose is a couple years older and he’s gonna be in the Rose or Westbrook debate and there really isn’t any other point guard in Wall’s class that is going to make a big impact right away, he’ll end up being in the debate with last years rookies like Brandon Jennings and Steph Curry who also have star potential.

Then curry and Jennings should be in the debate soon since both had the same or better rookie year than Westbrook and rose
