IndianaBasketballParticipantChicago vs Milwaukee tonight.
It should be a pretty good matchup tonight. Hinirich is out, so expect Rose to play a lot of minutes. Rose has picked up his play as of late averaging 20.3 points on 50.7% shooting the last four games, while Jennings has struggled his last four games averaging 14 points and shooting 29% from the field.
Who wins the game and who wins the head to head battle between Rose and Jennings?

gatorheelsParticipantI think the Bulls win & Rose has the better overall game.

whiteflashParticipantI think the Bulls win ’cause Milwaukee’s depleted, but Jennings has the better game.

IndianaBasketballParticipantBogut returns tonight, so that’ll help the Bucks.
My predicition… Bucks win, but Rose has a better overall game than Jennings.

whiteflashParticipantJust saw that Bogut’s back. I change my pick. Bucks win and Jennings still has the better game.

IndianaBasketballParticipantAs I predicted… The Bucks won by two… 99-97. The Bulls had a chance to send it to OT in the final seconds, but Brad Miller missed the game winning shot from about 17 feet. Rose could’ve forced a shot, but Miller was wide open and he passed it. I’d like to see Rose take that shot in the future.
You won’t be able to tell it by looking at the boxscore, but Rose outplayed Jennings. It wasn’t even close. Rose defended Jennings the entire game and the only way Jennings scored was off of the pick and roll. Jennings couldn’t beat Rose off the dribble and Rose forced him into bad passes/shots. Rose on the other hand dominated Jennings at the start of the 4th quarter to the point where Skiles had to take Jennings off of Rose. Bell defended Rose from that point on. Jennings was no match for Rose period. Rose took him off the dribble and was just too big/strong for him.
Credit Bogut for the Bucks winning this game. He was a beast.

NYK2010ParticipantLooks like Jennings back to earth now after a sick start.
He’s getting better with the assists but no longer averaging 25 pts a game.
I actually think he’s better against bigger pg’s like Billups seems to be too quick for them.
I heard he’s similar to Nick Van Exel as well both have the touch on the jumper, lefties and really quick.0 - Posted on: Tue, 12/01/2009 - 1:47am #234677

lalailaParticipantyeahhh absolutely back to earth for Jennings, even little to much…
it was so cool that both vs magic and tonight vs bulls games was showed in my country!! and i didn’t saw nothing like 55point player nothing like 29/7/8 player… he is so good shooter he can hit three after three and he can pass those things are good for sure, but his runner, layups, bad jumpshots was soso bad, in both games i saw a couple airball layups, this looks really bad…
anda by stats Rose was “little” better expect offcourse fg% but watching the game this time Rose EASILY outplayed Brandon, both guys in the first half just pass and did some pg’s job. in the second, while Jennings keeps takins bad shots and decisions, Rose just dominates 17 of 19pts was in the 2nd half! jumpshots , fadeway, some post game agains Brandon, some crazy, quick crossovers..i really was impressed tonight.just little bit sad that i still haven’t saw real Brandon for full nba game.

quincey hodgesi watched that game and i dont think rose easily outplayed jennings. also getting around picks and recovering is part of playing defense so getting picked is no excuse. that happens in every game where a guard checks a guard and its not an excuse then nor is it now. rose did out play jennings though except this time jennings got the win. jennings fg lately is down but he’s still hitting his threes. liek every rookie he will have up and down games. blair is also on the down

IndianaBasketballParticipantThen if you watched the game Quincey… You know Rose abused Jennings at the end of the 3rd – beginning of the 4th quarters. He was no match for Rose. He couldn’t stay in front of Rose. Rose was crossing him off the dribble and getting passed him with ease. Jennings could not contain Rose’s first step and Rose didn’t need a screen. And then he was easily finishing around the hoop and hitting shots. Jennings was at his mercy AND IF Skiles would’ve kept Jennings on him, I can guarantee you that Rose would’ve dominated that 4th quarter. Deciding to put a bigger and stronger Charlie Bell on Rose was a smart move because Jennings was throwing his hands up in despair and not knowing what to do.
On defense, Rose defended him the whole game and the only time Jennings scored was off of screens (yes, it’s a part of the game, but still…) and on wide open shots. He also forced Jennings into some bad passes and bad shots.
Screens are a part of the game, but if you look at all the elite point guards… They have the ability to break you down off the dribble without always needing a screen. During every game I’ve watched Jennings, I’ve never seen him break somebody down off the dribble. I’ve never seen him create his own shot off the dribble AFTER breaking down his man. It’s almost always over a screen or just a wide open jumpshot. I think he’s going to be a great point guard, but I think he’s a little too hyped up after the blazing start he had.

Michael.S.ParticipantTezo obviously wins that arguement by a mile. 1 point. Ummmm I would like to add that, we all know Jennings can get by his man and has a great crossover and nice athleticism………..but Why doesn’t he put that to good use????? Thats why I laugh at the Iverson comparisons………I haven’t seen him put that crossover to good use not 1 time yet, he never takes his man off the bounce and he is not the finisher A.I. was, really not close to it. That said Jennings is a monster.
P.S. Tezo is also right about the Rose vs jennings situation 10000%
