jojososaParticipantBoth r good young pg’s with good scoring abilities but I like rondo I think tha only thing harris has over him is scoring ability, rondo is a better passer, rebounder, and better on defense, since harris obviously has tha weaker team he will average more ppg but that’s tha only thing I see him doing better than rondo this year. Who do u think is better

BasketballGuru24ParticipantI Will Take Harris any day……….he is a floor general and knows when to score , the debate should really be
30 Pts 10 Ast
Or
Triple Double

FutureoftheGameIt depends on what kind of fight im going to.
If Im in a knife fight, i want Rondo. He is smooth but strong and very smart with his movements. He can get inside and cut any great team down without any warning.
If Im in a gun fight, i want Harris. He can destroy the opposition with his force. He will get in your face and jam it down your throat. He is fast and powerful and at times very reckelss.
Overall, I want Rondo. His skills are better suited for the PG position and he really looks to set up his teammates.

auberParticipantOn whose the better player?
Rajon RondoOn Who I’d want to lead my team?
Devin Harris0 - Posted on: Fri, 07/31/2009 - 10:08am #193693
FutureoftheGameHaha. In a knife fight, you want a guy who is very skilled and knows what the hell he is doing. Otherwise, he will get stabed, cut and killed. He darts, stabs, and gets out of the way and is ready to do it again.
In a gun fight, you kind of want someone who is just trigger happy and goes crazy. Bullets flying everywhere and bodies droping. He has no concience, just runs, protects his guys, and pulls the trigger.
Any better??

STEVEDOT2Participantbut you have to consider harris does what he does with limited help.. and was close to making the playoffs maybe would have if it was for injury
the big 3 really spreads the floor and their the players the defense really focuses on….that give rondo ample amout of room and chance to go to work with hustle plays and if you notice rondo crashes boards alot rackin up boards assit points and second chance points
so i go with harris
rondo came along way tho….
but i say harris is juss as athletic he can get up also i been a fan of him since a rookie and when ppl qestioned the pick since the mavs already had a proven starting point gaurd

sheltwon3ParticipantRondo may be the better playmakers but I think people forget that Harris is pretty good on defense too but Rondo has physical abilities that give him that age like his length. They are both quick but Harris is a better shooter. It would depend on what you are looking for. I would take Harris. His playmaking ablities are average and he can score in many ways and his defense is solid.

JNixonParticipantRondo. He’s a better floor leader, playmaker and defender. Harris would give him a run for his money though, but Rondo is better that everything except shooting. Harris is an explosive player, but I think Rondo is has the same explosion but he plays at more than one speed, which makes him more deceptive and creative than Harris. Harris goes at full speed 100% of the time, which is a good and bad thing. Both of them get layups alot, and both defend great, but Rondo has more strengths.

billykParticipantI would take Rondo because we know Rondo can get it done on a winning team and Harris seemed average when he played for a winning team (Dallas)…. He scored more in New Jersey but his overall efficency as far as shooting percentages dropped….Rondo can play championship level baskeball, but can Harris????

Knicksboy34ParticipantIf I want a PG….I want Rondo
If I want a Guy who can play PG- I want Harris

billykParticipantWhats the diffrence between a PG and a guy who can play PG?????
0 - Posted on: Fri, 07/31/2009 - 11:39am #193731
STEVEDOT2ParticipantTHE REASON^^^^^^^^^^ FOR THAT DIRK,TERRY,STACKHOUSE,HOWARD DID MOST THE SCORING I DOUBT HARRIS WAS EVEN AN OPTION ON OFFENSE HE JUST WAITED FOR THE RIGHT MOMENTS TO SCORE …IN NEW JERSEY THEY GAVE HARRIS THE GREEN LIGHT
0 - Posted on: Fri, 07/31/2009 - 11:43am #193732

Knicksboy34ParticipantTo me, Rondo is a Point Guard. Harris is a guy who i believe can play PG and SG. Sorry I didn’t clear it up.
To me, Rondo has the Point skills. He has the PG skills to lead a team. He can be a 15ppg, 10apg guy.
Harris will be a 25ppg- 6apg guy. I dont think he will ever average 10apg
Rondo is comparable to Jason Kidd
Harris is comparable to Stephon Marbury0 - Posted on: Fri, 07/31/2009 - 11:44am #193733
STEVEDOT2ParticipantBILLY K AND HARRIS WENT TO THE FINALS BEFORE HE WOULD HAVE A RING IF IT WASNT FOR D WADE
0 - Posted on: Fri, 07/31/2009 - 11:46am #193734
STEVEDOT2ParticipantRONDO .-JASON KIDD???
HARRIS-STARBAURY??
IM DONE
RONDO HAS 3 HALL OF FAMES ON HIS TEAM WHY WONT HE RACK UP IN ASSITS THE BIG 3 SPREAD THE FLOOR
0 - Posted on: Fri, 07/31/2009 - 11:49am #193735
STEVEDOT2ParticipantHARRIS WAS KILLIN THE LEAGUE THE START OF THE SEASON WITH DOUBLE DOUBLE GAMES IN 25 + GAMES HES CAPABLE OF MUCH…SECOND HALF OF THE SEASON TEAMS DEDICATED DEFENSES JUST TO STOP HIM
RESULTING IN LOWER AVERAGES0 - Posted on: Fri, 07/31/2009 - 11:50am #193736

Knicksboy34ParticipantSo what? Rondo didnt ask to play with them. Think about it, if Rondo was good why are they gonna give him big money? He is a jumpshot away from being the best PG in the East.
Harris is comparable to Maurbury. Starbury was a scorer who can pass very well. He’s like 1 of 4 players to average 20 points and 6 assists per game over like 8 seasons (im not 100 sure on it). Harris is a scorer who can pass well but wont be a top 5 assits man in the NBA
0 - Posted on: Fri, 07/31/2009 - 2:36pm #193802

SDEParticipantRondo is better harris wont score on rondo like that ;and all those hall of famers dont pass to him he pass to them
harris is a score first PG you cant when a championship with those type of PGs0 - Posted on: Fri, 07/31/2009 - 5:32pm #193876
bluedevils12ParticipantId like to see wat each player would do if they were on the other team. I think if devin had been on the celtics the last 2 years there would have been a complete sweep in the playoffs. thats sayin alot 4 me becuz im a huge lakers fan. I think if rondo went 2 new jersey he wouldnt be as successful as he is now. basically i feel that it all comes down to wat ur team needs and these guys are in their perfect situations now

Meditated StatesParticipantShut Harris down everytime they played last year. Thats all I can go on. He shut that kid down everytime they played.
0 - Posted on: Fri, 07/31/2009 - 9:38pm #194017

sameolGParticipantRondo proved a lot this season and in the playoffs.. he step his game up big time, not say Devon Harris didnt but im taking Rondo
