    There is no possible package Portland could put together that does not include LMA that Boston would take for Rondo.

    I don’t get why the Celtics want to trade Rondo, I’d see him as their main building piece going forward, the big 3 are between 34 and 36 years old now and two have expiring deals. I’m a lirrle surprised there has been no mention of KG’s expiring deal in any trade scenarios.

    Let me correct myself – that could use KG at his price while giving up assets to get him that are already contenders, as at this point in his career, no one else would likely want him.

    This isnt the first time they’ve tried to deal Rondo

    Imagine if Joe Dumars was smart?

    In 2009 the Celtics offered Allen and Rondo for Stuckey, Rip, and Prince.

    In 2009, Dumars wasn’t allowed to take on that salary as the team was being sold.
