Has the basketball world given up on this guy? I have heard/read absolutely nothing about him…once a top prospect with comparisons to Dwayne Wade now an afterthought? After Uconn’s sucess this season, they have been the topic of many discussions as far as going foward but still no mention. I think I read somewhere he was injured and/or had surgery and I know his first year at NC State left a lot to be desired but dont you all think a year out of game time and just practice and training would be humbling and beneficial?
Just curious to hear you all’s thoughts and input.

Because of his transfer he had to sit out this whole season. There wasn’t really anything to talk about.

  I read a few articles after their championship about their recruiting and future and even those didnt mention him so I was juat wondering if I had missed something, thats all.

First we need to hear how well he has recovered following that shoulder surgery that was done back in February..According to some reports recovering time could take 4-5 months…
Watching him play at North Carolina State reminded me of Josh Selby..Purvis didnt do a good job of running the point,appeared lost on defense and he took alot bad selections…..Sitting out a year and listening to and learning from Kevin Ollie a former nba point guard,might be wonders to improve his game…

Ollie was raving about him a few weeks ago. He said something along the lines of "we won the title and I got a ferrari in the garage I couldn’t even play with" referring to Purvis.

Pervis is not going to play PG at Uconn. Although they are severely lacking in PG depth next year with just Boatright on the roster.
My guys would be Cassell’s kid gets more time at the 1 than Purvis does.
