KHAM83ParticipantJust throwing out a trade idea, tell me what ya’ll think….
Rockets get: Chris Kaman
Pacers get: Kevin Martin/ Jordan Hill
Clippers get: Danny Granger
Rockets get their starting Center in Kaman, who when healthy is an All-Star and has 1 year left on his contract. They also have Cliff Lee, great defender and outside shooter, who can start at sg. Buddinger gets more minutes backing up Lee and Terrence Williams.
Pacers: Fills need at sg with a bonified scorer. Martin gives them what Granger did, but now Paul George can start and get his minutes. They also get a PF with size to compliment the talented, but small, Hansbrough. I would love to see Martin and Granger team up, but Indy is a small market team and can only afford one huge contract (check their history).
Clippers: Gets their starting SF in Granger. Their has been rumors of them moving Kaman for Iggy, but I like Granger here instead, who is a more efficient scorer and makes a little less than Iggy. Griffin-Gordon-Granger?

ProudGrandpaParticipantAs a Pacers fan, I would want this to happen, and I’m sure clippers fans would love it too, but the Rockets are really getting jipped. Martin is better than Kaman on his own, then you’re throwing in Hill? I dunno…

KHAM83ParticipantI think your undervaluing Kaman. He’s an above-average player at a position every winner needs. I agree with you though, Martin is a very good player, but the Rockets has a plathora of wings and PF, namely Cliff Lee who plays much much better defense than Martin. With Yao Ming’s retirement, and Brad Miller traded to Minnesotta, they need a real center, Luis Scola doesnt cut it there. I also heard on draft night that the Rockets would like to get rid of Martin’s contract. Kaman only has one year left on his deal. As a Pacers fan you say you are, you’ll agree that yall need a PF with size. Jordan Hill was a throw in just to make Bird feel he needs to accept this deal. Again, Martin a very good player, but Kaman plays a position of need.

KHAM83ParticipantThinking maybe the Clippers are getting over a little here, I mean, they are desperate to both move Kaman and bring in a verteran sf. They do own the TWOLVES 1st pick for the 2012 draft, unprotected. Maybe the Rockets can ask that either the Wolves’s, or the Clippers 2012 pick be included.

ProudGrandpaParticipantAlthough I was originally skeptical, Hansbrough has proved he is an NBA-starter-quality PF. McRoberts is also a solid player and a great backup. I don’t think the need at PF is as dramatic as almost everyone is saying.

KHAM83ParticipantI too think he’s proven to be starter caliber! And I like McRoberts, but still, too many bigs is never a problem. Plus with Foster a free agent, theyll need plenty of bigs to back up Hansbrough and Hibbert.

KHAM83ParticipantI didnt see much of Paul George, but have read a lot about him. Do you think he’s good enough to move Granger to give him more playing time? Do you think he can truly play the shooting guard position?

ProudGrandpaParticipantGeorge had a fantastic play-off series against the Bulls, showing versatility on both ends of the court. I’d say he is the fourth-best player on this talented team and has the most potential by far. With George Hill, he won’t need to play SG much and a Hill-George wing combo would be on the fringes of the top 10 in the league a few years down the road.

NO EZ BUCKETSParticipantSounds pretty good for everyone. Maybe if the rockets get a draft pick or something it would be better though, because martin is better than kaman.
