The8thDeadlySinParticipantIt is being reported that Pat Beveryly, Trevor Ariza, and K.J. McDaniels are being shopped.
They offered a package of;
Trevor Ariza
Patrick BeverlyFOR
Nerlens Noel
Im sure that more would be involved but with Howard leaving and D’Antoni’s new, fast paced style of play, they are looking to deal. Sort of makes sense that they would want rid of Beverly and Ariza. Neither guy is exaclty known for their offense and thats what D’Antoni needs. He needs a PG that can run his system, a big that can thrive in pick and roll (Noel), and a bunch of shooters.

eazye_84ParticipantI’d doubt they’ll give up that much Nerlens Noel

220ParticipantI doubt the 76ers would be that interested in those players to give up Nerlens.

The8thDeadlySinParticipantIm assuing thats why the trade didnt go through.. I cant see how Beverly or Ariza fit the rebuild project. Maybe the makret for Noel is terrible tho?

220ParticipantIt might be. The misinformation makes it challenging to know how valued certain guys actually are. Depending on the team I could see Nerlens be quite valued.

The8thDeadlySinParticipantI can imagine that alot of people would want him based on his strenghts. He could defend almost anyone on the court in a switch, he defends, rebounds, and is decent aroud the rim.
Only flaw is injry concerns. Its a fair concern to me. He is frail. I dont want to see him ever get injured again but I wouldnt be shocked if he has to miss a season over a second knee injury.

timinator1Participant…but he also has no jump shot, no offensive move other than put backs and lobs, and no handle. Not exactly D’Antoni material.
That said… If the Rockets did get him, can you imagine how fun it would be to watch him and Clint Capela together?

TRC1991ParticipantAriza is a very useful corner 3-ball shooter and on-ball defender…13 and 5 on 37% from 3 is a decent commodity

SubZeroParticipantThat’d be good for Philly if their goal is to be mediocre

BothTeamsPlayedHardParticipantIn all of sports, nobody likes leaking rumors to the media more than the Rockets. Every draft, every trade deadline.
