i just watched an amazing game ugly at times. I noticed harden and Paul get away with pushing away to create to space, no calls that’s a definitely an advantage for the rockets.

Big Ups to Eric Gordon, he was MVP of this game. Rockets defense have the Warriors playing 1on 1. That’s not their game. Kerr can’t be happy with them not moving the ball.

Andre Iguodala is heavily missed. He is the only player from the bench that contributes on a consistent basis and he possibly would have effected the outcome of tonight’s game.

Came here to say this. Having Looney or Bell out there instead of Iggy killed them defensively, it was basically a free 2 points anytime one of them got switched onto Harden or CP3

he was a big reason they lost the last two games. He didn’t go small once in Game 4 with Livingston playing with Curry, Thompson, Durant and Green. He finally did it with 9 minutes left in Game 5 for two minutes and then about another 3 minutes down the stretch. With the Rockets having Harden, Paul and Gordon putting the Warriors’ bigs in so many pick and rolls, it makes even more sense to go small

Looks like cp could be out significant time. That hammy popped on him which burst the bubble on any chance of them winning another game this season.

Warriors got only 4 points from their bench tonight…that HAS to improve in game 6 because they’re the opposite of deep if Iguodala doesn’t play

CP3 left the game in the last minute with a hamstring injuries or something.

This dude is never going be play any playoff basketball without getting injured at some point…

Still hope they finish this self loving Warriors off

Houston played much better defense, especially on Klay who is a step slow with all of his nagging injuries. That said…The Warriors should have won both of the last two games.

At least twice in last night’s game and once on Tuesday, they enter the ball into the high post with lots of room to go right to the basket, but instead they try to draw the defense down so they can kick to the shooter. But when the shooter is Nick Young or my man Quinn Cook…they are better off challenging at the rim. Those are easy points (fouls, dunks, et al) that are coming off the board. And in games this close, you’ve gotta have those.

i thought i’d never say this but actually Kevin Durant might be the problem for the Warriors in this series…

Steve Kerr and his Warriors are biting D’Antoni’s bait just like inocent kids, why? the warriors are giving the ball most of the times to Durant because as a 6’11” SF he supposedly has a big advantage over his 6’5”-6’7” defenders (Tucker&Ariza), but what Kerr seems to not understand is that because of that situation, the Rockets are slowing GSW’s pace big time (94’5) and are making them change their style of play, which is fast pace, running, shooting and passing in order to adapt to Durant and his supposed advantage…

so now because of Durant, you have the Warriors playing slow possesions, not running and playing many one on one instead of sharing the ball like always; not only that, but they’ve also managed to move the spotlight from where it should be, that is Curry, making him look like an average player when this man is the best player of them all on the court.

GSW should be centered around Curry like is always been, because the Warriors start and end in Curry. The only game that Curry was unleashed in this series, he scored 35, the Warriors scored 126 and they won by 41.

D’Antoni is very happy having Durant scoring 37 or 38 points, he could even score 50 if he wanted as long as the Warriors are playing a slow pace and therefore Curry is being hold under that rhythm.

Houston’s won the last two games by a combined 7 points, GS has made a few uncharacteristically dumb plays down the stretch (some of that is Houston’s D) and GS has missed Iguadala WAY MORE than anyone thought. Losing CP3 is gonna destroy the Rockets momentum, and if you couple that with the return of Iguadala I expect the Warriors to drop the hammer.

I understand that HOU switching every screen is leading GS to play ISO at times, but it’s frustrating to see them not playing the offensive basketball that we’re accustomed to seeing. They’re just standing around watching KD. I’m a Pacers fan, but I’ve been a big fan of the way GS plays offensive basketball.

CP3’s injury (we knew it was coming since it always does) may be their saving grace.

This was always going to be an epic encounter and according to the bookies the likely NBA Champions will come from it.

Although the Rockets had the best regular season record people maybe felt that with their stars back GSW would be too strong. The series could still honestly go either way.

I was going to say that it looks like the Rockets just want this series more, and the reason the Warriors are standing around watching Durant play offense is because that’s easier on everyone — Durant included — than the constant motion and passing that made them great.

But maybe you’re right, it’s the Rockets’ D that has got them out of sorts. Houston may have created the perfect team to defend the Warriors. Last night especially it seemed Houston really got up in the Warriors’ passing lanes. I was struck by how many routine passes on the perimeter basically had no room for error, because a Rocket defender was right up on the receiver, playing the pass. (A few years ago, when the Spurs were the Warriors, the Thunder always did the same thing against them, and it really seemed to make the Spurs question their offense — which, like the Warriors’, depended on a large number of passes.)

If I’m the Warriors, I worry that the loss of CP3 will make the Rockets super focused and determined for one game. Gordon will play like a superstar again and Gerald Green or maybe even Joe Johnson will have a monster game off the bench. I think GS would win 7 or 8 out of 10 against a CP3-less Rockets, but now Houston only needs one. GS has to bring maximum intensity and focus in game 6 or they may get punched out early. And they have to play at the fastest pace possible, because when they do Harden runs out of gas in the 4th. That’s the Warriors’ best weapon.
