Robert Williams is 6”10 with 7”5 wingspan, is raw and has potential. Few nice alleys and blocks shots, I get the attraction but I just can’t see him going at number 9 come draft time.

Offense – not that great around the rim or in the low post. Someone with 7”5 wingspan should be dominating more at the college level. He does have a nice jump shot.

Defense – not that great. Doesn’t really position himself that well. Gambles too much trying to block shots to impress NBA scouts and pad his stats.

Rebounding – not great for 7”5 wingspan. Doesn’t position himself that well and doesn’t have the heart or hustle to be a double digit rebounder as a pro.

Motor / Attitude – not good, doesn’t show much heart or hustle. Sets piss weak screens. Cherry picker, he sprints down like Carl Lewis in offense trying to get an alley. Usually the first one down in offense, he then jogs backs and usually the last one back on defense.

Pro Outlook – If he declares this year I think he will spend a lot of time in the D-League. At the moment I just can’t see him being an NBA starter or good value for a 9th overall pick….

Every year we see raw prospects such as williams with elite physical traits to go along with elite run jump athleticism. I wouldnt be surprised if he fall out of the lottery but a good combine can strength his lottery chances. He’s too raw and risky. He reminds me of biyombo rising before the draft

He’s kinda like a Faried/Biyombo type player. Kind of rushes his game when he gets increased offensive responsibility. He has a bit of a short midrange game but its not much more than a set jumper. I really don’t see him landing in the lotto. I’d say the highest he goes is 15-20 but he could slide to the 2nd round. Should defenitely stay another year.

I would take Jarrett Allen over both Robert Williams and Lauri Bargnani.

Watch Allen (18th) to rise and Williams (9) and Lauri (10) to fall before draft day
