BccghParticipantWhat format do you think it will be? USA vs World or Rookies vs Sophomores? Depending on the format who do you think would be on the Roster?

he_gets_bucketsParticipantLots of good international rookies and sophomores so I could see a World vs US format. But I haven’t seen anything indicating that they’re changing it from the TNT guys drafting teams and playing against each other, so until then I’m gonna assume they’re doing that again.

Bossy13ParticipantI’d hope with the game being in Toronto, they’d go with US vs World. It’ll be the first time the All-star game isn’t in the US so they should play up that angle.

Hype MachineI really like the international format.
I’ve got a few Canadian buddies, and I’m pretty sure they’d rather see their compatriots represent the World team as opposed to a North American team.
United States should be plenty good enough to compete on their own….the best case scenario is that each team wins 50% of the time, which I think this format would achieve.

YungmUNyParticipantLast year, each team had nine active players on its roster. Based on that, I’d make these roster projections:
Team World:
G – Emmanuel Mudiay
G – Andrew Wiggins/Nik Stauskas
F – Bojan Bogdanovic
F – Kristaps Porzingis/Nikola Mirotic/Clint Capela
C – Karl-Anthony Towns/Nikola JokicSnubs: Dwight Powell, Joffrey Lauvergne, Mario Hezonjia, Raul Neto, Nemaja Bjelica
Stauskas over Powell and Lauvergne just because the roster needs a backup guard.
Team USA:
G – Elfrid Payton/Jordan Clarkson/Marcus Smart
G – Zach LaVine/DeAngelo Russell
F – Jabari Parker
F – Julius Randle
C – Jahlil Okafor/Nerlens NoelSnubs: Stanley Johnson, Frank Kaminsky, T.J. McConell, Bobby Portis, Devin Booker

CobraParticipantI know defense isn’t played in these games, but a Parker/Randle/Okafor front court takes that to a different level.

ChoppyParticipantI will boycott watching the game if Stanley Johnson and Mario Hezonja miss out on selection. They are two of my favourite rookies this year.

adumParticipantLakers, Sixers and Wolves could end up having up to 11 players in the game. Which is basically Half of the total roster spots available
Wolves: Wiggins, Towns, Lavine and Bjelica
Lakers: Randle, Russell, Clarkson and Nance Jr
Sixers: Noel, Okafor, McConell and Stauskas(Doubts)
Side note
Winslow has to make this game
