Dr.RedParticipantExcuse me, Mr. Allen…
I think you had that executive at this time last year, but you are an egomaniac and couldn’t take him receiving credit for doing a great job as GM in Portland, so you fired him.
I would hate to work for that guy. If you do a good job, he gets jealous and fires you. If you don’t live up to his expectations, he fires you for poor performance…I mean, for not being the right fit.

NYK2010ParticipantKP definately should still be around.
Too bad Jerry West isn’t available, he could do a lot with this team.

HotSnotParticipantRich Cho pushing to suspend BRoy for his comments after game 2 in the playoffs was quite telling. A complete over reaction. It gives you an idea of how out of touch he is with the human side of sports.

Scottoant93ParticipantMaybe this a return to portland for K.P., I doubt it though. How has he not been given a job yet is what suprises me. Rich Cho may have pushed for a suspension for Roy. But I like his agressiveness of treating everyone equal weather your a superstar or not. Should we caliing for Mcmillan head since he didnt play roy in game 2.. exactly. Also cho didnt exactly do a bad job, he got them Gerald wallace, and only had a year to do anything..not exactly a lot of time

NashyMingParticipantPaul is getting ahead of himself.
Rich Cho did an ok job during his time with the Blazers. I wished it was done a week ago, so that the Raptors can get Rich Cho on the cheap than to extend Bryan Colengelo. He helped the Thunder rebuilding process and could probably do a better job overseeing a rebuilding team (BC always had the tendency to gamble with large amount of money for a patch-and-rebuild plan).
Now you guys understand why Kevin Pritchard was fired? He did a good job as the GM, but Paul Allen just liked to have more control over everything. He got axed because he didn’t want to offer a max extension to Brandon Roy knowing about his injury.
Rich Cho had his flaw for reacting too much over Roy’s comments, but Roy deserved to have some internal punishment instead of an out right suspension on the so called "franchise" player. Paul Allen favoring Roy may just start another chapter for the Blazers to fall back into lottery.

PORTLAND, Ore. – The Portland Trail Blazers announced today that they have parted ways with Rich Cho, the team’s general manager of basketball operations.
“The fit between Rich and our team simply wasn’t right,” said Trail Blazers President Larry Miller. “This was a tough move because I respect Rich and he’s a good person with many strong skills. But it simply wasn’t a good match.”
Trail Blazers Director of College Scouting Chad Buchanan will serve as acting general manager. Buchanan has been with the team for four years. Buchanan and Head Coach Nate McMillan will report to Miller until a permanent replacement is hired.
Trail Blazers Owner Paul G. Allen said the move is part of the franchise’s commitment to building a championship contending team. “This decision, as difficult as it was to make, reflects our willingness to admit and recognize that things haven’t worked out,” Allen said. “We’re going to be tough on ourselves in assessing what we could have done better, and then go out and find the executive who is the best fit with the needs of our franchise. That chemistry and connection is critically important.”
