d-ravParticipantAh, good times, back when “street” was brought to the NBA. Don’t know if i’m gonna last another season without him playin’. He needs a proper sendoff.

MuggsyParticipantSo true Church, I remember thinking “man this guys my age and he’s in the NBA”. Now I’m like “who’s all these kids?”. It’s weird all my heroes when I was a kid are already gone or might as well be gone. On topic though AI was a beast, in fact he still is, I think he can still crossover anyone in the NBA. Teams just aint giving him the chance so it’s probably over sadly, he deserves a better ending.

MuggsyParticipantWhat NBA player doesn’t bad mouth? I don’t see why Shaqs recent comments is such a big deal to people, it’s everyday NBA talk. It’s called mind games, Gary Payton would smack you people upside the head for complaining about trash talking.

Mr. 19134Participant@dolla130 Preach!!!!
Man being from Philly Iverson’s career started around the same time i got seriously into sports and it wasn’t a coincidence before that we had Stackhouse, Bradley, and I use to watch Dana Barros, but once we drafted The Answer everything changed. I can’t even describe the world wind this man took us on over the next ten years, but it seemed like from the day he was drafted to the day he got traded was virtually like a week long it went so fast but so many memories.
I have never and don’t think i will ever witness another player as dangerous with the basketball in his hands as Allen was. I mean this guy would dribble up and the court and watching as a fan you would be daring somebody from the other team to try and get in front of him he was like Terminator with the basketball because he would seek defenders around just to play with them, then wipe em out on his way to the basket. People use to be able to get in his face during his shot but nobody could stop him from getting where he wanted on the floor ever. I dont see that from anybody nowadays, and from the moment he stepped into the league he didn’t fear and for better or worse respect anybody in the league thats what made him infamous. Instead of coming in the league ass kissing he came in the league with the mentality that Im a man and he’s a man and he gotta respect me before i respect him I dont care what he did in the League so far. Thats what you call a Franchise player and The Man. Tell Lebron to ask AI what it means to be the man and carry a city on your back for a full decade.
