WolfRobParticipantIts honestly a joke… The NBA needs to do something about these guys. Its ruining the game.

YOOkimaParticipantThe Los Angeles Lakers are going to benefit from the addition of Dwight Howard in just about every area imaginable except for free throw shooting. He’s their next franchise player once Kobe Bryant retires, a dominating force on the boards and one of the most-intimidating defensive presences in the league.

MOMINGParticipantThe Lakers visited their avid fans an hour east of Los Angeles with just 60 percent of their projected starting lineup in uniform. Bryant sat out to rest a strained right shoulder, and Howard isn’t playing during his deliberate return from offseason back surgeryyre54

MOMINGParticipantNicolas Batum had 12 points in his first game since returning to Portland with a four-year deal worth more than $45 million when the Blazers matched an offer sheet from Minnesota after Batum’s agent said his client wanted to join the Timberwolves.

wizoaokoosaoParticipantSullinger and Melo were first-round draft picks, with Kris Joseph coming in the second round. (Garnett calls Joseph ”Shawn,” Christmas said, ”because he reminds him of someone named Shawn.”)

bskoeosaoParticipantIt’s not easy being both the top pick in the NBA draft and also the best player on your team embarking on a new season. That’s where Anthony Davis finds himself as preseason nears an end. He’s been the focus of opposing defenses, and as such has already taken some lumps, but he has the right mentality and is ready for the challenge.

boaokeooaParticipantOf course, there is a bigger question facing Rockets owner Les Alexander, who is set to pay $70 million for Harden, and will shell out roughly $13.6 million apiece for Jeremy Lin and Omer Asik three years out. Can a team built around Harden, Lin and Asik compete for a championship? And if not, isn’t that a lot of money to spend on a team that, on paper, is not currently a playoff team? Also, while Morey and his staff look at the cap hit, which is roughly $8.3 million per season for three seasons for Lin and Asik, the checks they will cash in three years will be that $13.6 million number.

ro838382ParticipantThe Toronto Raptors traveled to Rama, Ontario on Sunday to put on an intrasquad scrimmage game at the Casino Rama Entertainment Center. It was to be a fun filled afternoon for the fans that raised some money for the Raptors’ charity, the MLSE Team Up Foundation, and let the team get in a little more work prior to the start of the season on Wednesday.
