Sorry, it cut out the 1st and 30th picks.

    1. Anthony Davis

    30. Robert Sacre

if you have questions about what teams own what pick, look at the Mock Draft Archive. Any thoughts?

     I’d take Lillard at 3.

To the Wizards? That wouldn’t make a lot of sense.

I take it you didn’t watch the Warriors playoff series because Draymond Green was fantastic and would be a lottery pick in a re-draft.

Wroten and Teague too high and Scott and Middleton 8-10 spots too low

Most of these picks are based on fit with hind sight. D Green was a good player in the playoffs, and so was Barnes during his rookie year. I wouldn’t draft someone based on a few good nights. Wroten fits the then-New Orleans Hornets biggest need that year: point guard. Obviously the Hornets wanted a scoring combo guard to play with Eric Gordon, so he is the best point player available. Teague has had a bad rep. He hasn’t found the team he gells with, and his lack of consistent minutes hasn’t helped his development. I would take him if I was the Grizzlies. Middleton’s stats should be taken lightly. He played for the worst team in the Association, so they are a little inflated. Mike Scott is a tough one. He obviously carved out a role in Atlanta, but is he more than a role player? Too many questions to put him any higher.

Why the hell did Teague go higher than his original spot in a re-draft? He’s one of the worst players in the league. He would do undrafted in a redraft.

The original poster is off on way too many players. Mike Scott below Marquis Teague? Insane.

The fact that you have Festus Ezeli over Terrence Jones is laughable. And where is Meyers Leonard?

Terrence Ross over Damian Lillard?  Really?  That just can’t happen regardless of fit.  If given the choice of taking an all-star PG that isn’t a team need versus a role playing SG that fits a need, you take the all-star and just move assets around.

I get what the OP tried to do, factoring the team’s need at the time with what we know now. i still dissagree with a ton of his choices though. heres my oppinion on how it should have gone down now that we know how these guys have progressed after 2 seasons in the NBA.

    1. Pelicans – Anthony Davis – obvious pick

    2. Charlote – Andre Drummond – still an obvious pick, best talent and arguably same or more upside than any player in this draft.

    3. Washington – Damian Lillard – i’ll be the first to say i wouldnt make this pick if i didnt know what i know today. i might even go with Beal on a different day for defensive purposes, but the fact that i know how good Iillard is, and that he can play some off ball with Batum being a point forward and Aldridge getting a lot of opportunities as well to create for him and others, make me believe that a Wall and Lillard back-court could work the way Arenas and Hughes basically were both scoring point guards in the starting back-court in years past.

    4. Cleveland – Bradley Beal – the cavs benefit of not having to choose between Beal and Lillard to pair with Irving. Beal’s natural fit to kyrie as an off ball guard makes so much sense. a floor spacer who doesnt need the ball in his hands to be effective who posses good court awareness in both ends of the court.

    5. Sacramento – Michael Kidd-Gilchrist –  although i was tempted to go with a power forward to pair next to cousins such as John Henson or Terrence Jones, i ultimately felt that the kings have enough offensive fire power at this time to take MKG, start him over John Salmons, and let him do what he does best, which is hustle, do the dirty work and anchor the perimeter defense of the team. he’d also help change the culture of the team full of me-score-first players.

    6. Portland – Dion Waiters – portland here would really be looking for a point guard, but think they would go Waiters given the choices available. with Batum playing point forward, they could go with a play-maker over a natural point. Waiters as a combo guard would still handle the ball a fair amount of time the same way wade did in his rookie year when he had lamar odom. dion’s ability to score off the dribble as well as kick out to open shooters would fit in very well with mathews, aldridge and batum.

    7. Golden State – Harrison Barnes – i wouldnt change the warriors selection at all. they were in need of a small forward and barnes was a true blessing to fall in their laps. i know he suffered the dreaded sophomore slump after having a great finish to his rookie year in the play-offs, but he is the best fit for the team at this time. with a gsw squad without igguodala, barnes would be looked at as their long term small forward. only die hard harkless supporters could make an argument of being a better fit due to his defensive prowness while the dubs already have enough offense in curry, klay and lee.

    8. Toronto – Jared Sullinger – raptor loyalists could possibly say that ross was the right pick for them, but id like to dissagree and say getting a talented power forward such as sullinger to pair next to valanciunas would have been better. jareds mid range game would be very complementary to the rest of the raptor statrters at the time and with both Gay and DeRozan, toronto would have enough perimeter scoring. A healthy Sullinger would have really solidified the raptors’ starting unit.

    9. Detroit – Terrence Ross – Ross would serve as the potential long term player in one of detroit’s wing position. with tayshaun, stuckey, ben gordon and daye being the other swingmen on the roster, it would only be natural that the pistons take the best 2/3 available. Ross has a good outside shot on him and very athletic. prince could have served as  a good mentor to do the little things that a player does for a championship caliber team.

In hindsight, I wouldn’t touch MKG with a top 10 pick. He can defend, but remember, your team has score as well and everyone sags off MKG. My grandmother has a better form in her jumpshot than him.

Shooting is the easiest thing to teach. You can’t teach a guy MKG’s motor, or his athleticism or his physical attributes. He isn’t a guy you give the ball to go get a bucket for you, and nobody ever expected him to be that. Whilst we all did expect his jumper to be a little better then it is, we all knew he was subpar shooter. His intangibles and defensive ability are what makes him worthy of a top 10 pick, he is a culture changing player.

Yes his jumper is broken, and he more then likely will never be a good shooter, but there have been guys with broken jumpers that have ended up turning it around. Case in point, Shawn Marion, first two years in the League, a sub 26% 3 point shooter, 3rd season he came out and shoot 39% and maintained an above 30% three point percentage for following 6 seasons.
