Reptilian MonkParticipantRay Allen is considering a return and his representatives have reached out tot eh Warriors and Cavs. The rich get richer. Allen on the Warriors would be ridicuous with this super team getting out of hand. Allen would be great off the bench in that offensive syste moving the ball and knocking down open 3’s. This on paper is ridiculous.
Pg Curry, Livingston, Barbosa
Sg Thompson, Ray Allen
Sf Durant, Iguodala, Rush
Pf Green, David west, Looney
C Zaza, Speights, Jones

McDunkinI feel like I’m the crazy one. Why are people expecting so much of an impact from a 40 year old coming back from a 2 years hiatus?

doubledribblerParticipantYou’re not crazy. For some reason people always act like when a team gets Ray Allen they are getting the version that was a legit all star. To this day when people try to talk about how "stacked" the Bosh Wade Lebron Heat team was they always mention Ray Allen like they were playing with him in his prime. I have no doubt that he can still shoot and that he stayed in shape, but his last few years he couldn’t stay with anyone on defense. Also, not really sure where he fits in as far as playing time unless you are not going to bring back Barbosa. I’ll wait for them to put together a final roster, but I have a feeling it is going to shape up as a team that can score a lot of points, but that can give up plenty too.

TarHeelRavenParticipantI hope if he signs with the Warriors that they plan on putting him in the corner and spotting up for threes then calling timeout right away and subbing for him. A 41 year old Jesus Shuttlesworth is not going to be able to check anybody. I love Ray Ray, he has had a great career and is a hall of famer in my opinion. Stay retired and enjoy time with your kids man.

HitsterParticipantRay is apparently in great shape and would be a bench guy they would put on court when they were chasing a game or to create better floor spacing. If his shot is still reasonable, he’d be a scoring threat given he’d probably get open shots with his team mates being double teamed. Don’t forget Ray was considered one of the greatest off ball players ever.
He’d use his BB IQ to find free pots to create shooting options or to take a pass and create for a team mate.
