BKKnicksfanParticipantI wonder if u were to rate NBA players by Stars (like 2k11) how would you do it? like what would be the perfect example representing the star level? My example
1 star: Ryan Hollins
1.5 stars : Willie Green
2 stars: Landry Fields
2.5 stars: James Harden
3 stars: Taj Gibson
3.5 stars: David West
4 stars: Amare Stoude’mire
4.5 stars: Stephen Curry
5 stars: Kevin Durant0 - Posted on: Sat, 11/27/2010 - 7:33pm #445488

TRC1991Participantthere is a lot wrong with your initial example and here is a better one
1 = Brian Scalabrine
1.5 = Joey Graham
2 = Darko Milicic
2.5 = Boris Diaw
3 = JR Smith
3.5 = Darren Collison
4 = Josh Smith
4.5 = Yao Ming
5 = Carmelo Anthony

BKKnicksfanParticipantI guess I made a mistake explaining, thus my points were raped.
I rather have Curry over Stoudemire. I factor in 5 things: Offense, Defense, Intangables, Positional Skills and 3 year outlook
Kobe would be 5 stars as well. The highest level would be 5.
Also, I don’t think there would be too many 4.5 to 5 stars guy. Plus, I think Taylor there is some issues with your scale as well. JR Smith is not a 3 star guy to me, more of a 2. Darko could arguably be a 2.5 guy as well. Yao is NOT a 4.5 guy, 4 at the best. What has Darren Collison done to earn a 3.5 level?
I wanna use this to rate future players, so more feedback would be cool!

QUINCEY HODGES1lol. Durant isn’t on the same level as kobe though
What has harden done so far to be higher then Landry? (i like both players game by the way
In the end i cant really say you’re wrong because this is a opinion poll not really a fact poll and i dont agree with the durant/kobe Fields over harden or curry over Amare but i understand where you’re coming from
The nonsense thing was funny because you gotta make sure i you are gonna say something is nonsense, you spell everything correct or that leaves you open to get hit with a comeback..lol

BKKnicksfanParticipantSo then you would have Durant as a 4.5 guy?
Quincey, I respect your opinion more then others because you know about the game. Give me advice, what would you use to rate players?

llperezthat initial list is pretty whack. If ryan hollins who actually plays and sort of contributes is a 1 star, then what is a bench warmer who doesnt even play? And to me, landry fields, james harden and taj gibson are all pretty much on the same level. I dont see what seperates those 3 in any significant way. And i take amare over curry. At best, they are on the same level.

QUINCEY HODGES1Kobe,Lebron,Wade,5star
CP3 Dwill,Dirk
Durant
If i did star system but i wouldn’t because its too hard to figure out. I would just say who are the top level guys then who’s below them and Below them and so on and so on.

BKKnicksfanParticipantI guess, I haven’t been working on it yet but once I do, I’ll try to have a legit explantion what’s the difference between the levels.
