Stanford hoopsParticipantwhat are the rating based on..i know what the potenial rateings are based on but are the first ratings based on what they have done this year?…as far as potienal rating just about every pick every year would be high because thats what they are picked off of
0 - Posted on: Wed, 06/03/2009 - 12:08pm #156278
ch15r36isParticipantI agree. You have to have some kind of basis for your ratings.
Is Lebron a 100? Is Kobe a 100? Then Tyreke Evans is more like a 51.
butidonthavethemoney has a basis, and seems to be very realistic. The rest of you should follow suit if you want to participate (or, be taken seriously) in this activity.0 - Posted on: Wed, 06/03/2009 - 12:19pm #156282
thegift1236ParticipantIt seems in perspective these are a little high unless they are compared to one another, the standard for 100 would have to be Shaq’s and Lebron’s, and potentials of Kobe and Garnett, so they would all be quite low rated because after griffin and maybe rubio who else is going to be a perenial all-star.

j1232eParticipantI sounds like this draft ia full of full time allstars the way most of you guys are rankings them. I thought this was considerd a weak draft. I did not no one of the best all time.

gatorheelsParticipantI was comparing the draft prospects against one another when I did my rankings. I wasn’t comparing them to LeBron & Kobe. I rated them based on how good they are now and how good of nba player they have the potential to become in the future.
This draft actually isn’t that weak. I hear people say that all the time but there will be plenty of quality nba players that come out of this draft.
0 - Posted on: Wed, 06/03/2009 - 2:12pm #156331
j1232eParticipantSome peoples ranking were just a little to high probably, know body really noes their potential until drafted by a team and the role the coaches give them and their desire to win and not worry about stats. I think this draft is average with a couple stars. Griffin for sure (based on the clipps) and maybe a hand full more! Name me the top 5 prospects to be allstar-superstar.
0 - Posted on: Wed, 06/03/2009 - 2:19pm #156333

gatorheelsParticipantJennings, Holiday, Harden have all-star potential. Give them about 3 years to adjust to the nba. I don’t see many all-stars in this draft but I see a ton of guys that will stay in the league for a long time.
0 - Posted on: Wed, 06/03/2009 - 2:30pm #156338
j1232eParticipantI call this the role player draft. Every team needs a solid role player! if you don’t. No Playoffs and no Playoffs= no Championship.
0 - Posted on: Wed, 06/03/2009 - 3:22pm #156362
Michael.S.ParticipantTHE FIST PART OF MY FORUM TOPIC IS JUST THEIR OVERALL SKILL LEVEL AS OF RIGHT NOW SO THAT”S WHY I GAVE RUBIO A 96
0 - Posted on: Wed, 06/03/2009 - 3:26pm #156364
j1232eParticipantWill not be an all star his rookie season. For example compare an nba player with a 96 rating just to know what you are talking about!
0 - Posted on: Wed, 06/03/2009 - 3:26pm #156365
ch15r36isParticipantA little off topic, but do you give yourself a point every time you post?

gatorheelsParticipantnope, i don’t do the point thing. Every now and then I will give someone a point if they come up with something interesting I didn’t know about. Why?
0 - Posted on: Wed, 06/03/2009 - 3:52pm #156382
j1232eParticipantI see him as a 96 rubio maybe a 80 rookie season possible could reach 96 if on the right team (mem)

Stanford hoopsParticipantare you serious?..rubio a 96?..so that would mean he is a allstar this year….thats laughable
0 - Posted on: Thu, 06/04/2009 - 7:36am #156574

HaleParticipantI based my grades off of the players in the draft against eachother. I had no comparisons to LeBron or Dwight potential wise either.
