 I think he’s going to struggle to get his stock high enough to get drafted.  Sulaimon is undersized 2 guard that doesn’t do anything above average.  He plays hard, can make shots, and is a much improved ball handler, but I don’t see his game translating to the NBA.  I think he goes undrafted and will have to work to his way up and onto a NBA team’s roster, but I do think he can find himself a role if he works hard enough.  I think it’s possible for him to be a Randy Foye type player, but I wouldn’t bet on it.

What concerns me is that while at Duke he lost his starting job, and his mpg decreased there the longer he stayed.  He apparently is also the only player to ever have been kicked off the Duke team by coach K.  And then the same team went on to win a national championship without him.

Sulaimon would have been much better off from a draft standpoint if he had found a way to contribute positively to Duke’s NC team.  He is an excellent three pint shooter and could have been their 3 pt specialist.  His defense is above average, and you have to think that this year he would have had an opportunity to play more minutes and help a Duke team that is not nearly as good as it was last year.  

To me, he is at best a late second rounder.  If he continues to shine from beyond the arc, and continues to improve his defense and handling, I would think that he has a shot to make someone’s roster as an undrafted FA.  He does present chemistry concerns given his expulsion from the Duke team, so that’s a risk.  Best of luck to him.

 Sulaimon is an NBA player in my opinion.  He has athleticism, he defends, he can shoot it, he can handle the ball.  He’s an undersized 2, but he could easily be an energy guy off the bench in the league.  It’s his off the court troubles which will keep him undrafted.  Like 20 or something girls came forward and said Rasheed assaulted them.  He wasn’t convicted, but obviously something was sour with him at Duke.  He was an immature brat and you could tell with his body language at times at Duke.  K was most likely just sick of this guy.  It says a ton when youre the only guy K has kicked out of the program in 30 plus years.  He seems to have gotten his stuff together at Maryland this year and has obviously been humbled.  If anybody takes a chance on him, it will be a late second round pick in my opinion.

He is slightly undersized for the 2 spot and not a true pg. He doesn’t really have that one skill that stands out and guys with his skill-set are kind of a dime a dozen nowadays.
