    http://basketball.realgm.com/wiretap/221338/Sources_Raptors_Considering_Moe_Harkless_At_No_8

The Raptors are expected to target a perimeter player capable of creating his own shot with the eighth overall selection.

Dion Waiters, Terrence Ross, Jeremy Lamb and Damian Lillard are all possible targets.

Sources say Moe Harkless is also in the mix at No. 8 as a sleeper.

All I have to say is YUCK! Harkless can’t create his own shot and would be a down grade to Derozan who I’m not a big fan of anways. Never the less, if Tor see’s Harkless as “their guy”, I hope they trade down to get him and not blow the 8th pick on him.

I don’t think the Raptors should be drafting for need.  Among the players in the list, I actually like Moe Harkless a lot.  I think he would be a good 2-way player given a year or two.  I think the Raptors should trade down from #8 to the Rockets for #14 and #16, then draft two of Perry Jones (if he falls this far), Moe Harkless, Terrence Jones, Quincy Miller, Meyers Leonard, and Marquis Teague.  I like Orlando Johnson, Will Barton, Kyle O’Quinn, Scott Machado in the 2nd round, if they are not available, I would probably pick European players that stay in Europe longer for development.

Andrea Bargnani, Amir Johnson, and Ed Davis should all be on the trading block for the right deal.  If possible, Jose Calderon and Linas Kleiza would be packed (although I don’t think they have much trade values).  Demar DeRozan and James Johnson can also be had for the right price.

Jonas Valanciunas is the only building block.

The Raptors got a pretty bad team.  It’s not time to pick up an established player and trying to crack the playoff.

They should really be rebuilding the team.  Unfortunately, BC had never truely tried rebuilding.  He had been patching.  Although since Bosh had been gone, BC seemed to be rebuilding, but he didn’t go all the way.

The Raptors under BC at best, would just barely make the playoff, probably not gonna make it to the 2nd round and at worst, drafting at #8~#10 every single year.

BC got his last year of his contract, so he would likely pull a few patches to get the Raptors into the playoff next year.  I don’t see much future with this team with BC.

I don’t see how Harkless would be a great idea.. I think this is just Toronto doing research to make sure they’re not making a mistake and missing out of someone who hasn’t been in the spotlight all year and could be flying under the radar.. I woudn’t put much thought into them "considering moe harkless".. No way anyone would take him top ten.. If they trade down to 15-latefirstround this would make sense..

Raptors scouting department ie Jim Kelley, sucks at talent evaulation- point blank!

That’s why I can see TO potentially trading this pick because they are clueless..

MHarkles at #8 no way Jose as the Raptors need to focus on TRoss, TJones, TWrotenJr, JLamb, BBeal, DLillard & PJIII.

I would select either TWJr or PJIII at #8.
