Here is a list of the top ten NBA duo’s….I’m disregarding that whole inside/outside thing and simply naming the top 2 players

    1) Miami- Dwayne Wade and LeBron James (too much talent not to be put #1)
    2) LA Lakers- Kobe Bryant and Pau Gasol (seriously considered placing them #1)
    3) Denver-Carmelo Anthony and Chauncey Billups (too much experience not to be top 3)
    4) Oklahoma City- Kevin Durant and Russell Westbrook (could top this list in 2 years)
    5) Chicago- Derrick Rose and Carlos Boozer (going to be an excellent offensive duo)
    6) Boston- Rajon Rondo and Paul Pierce (the steady PP and up and coming stud PG have to be named)
    7) Utah- Deron Williams and Al Jefferson (they havent played together yet-may jump up this list)
    8) Dallas- Dirk Nowitzki and Caron Butler (Dirk doesn’t have a true running mate but Butlers good)
    9) New Orleans- Chris Paul and David West (people slept on west last year but he put up 18/7)
    10) San Antonio- Tim Duncan and Tony Parker (i think both have regressed the past few years otherwise they’d be higher)

Honorable Mention: Charlotte- Gerald Wallace and Stephen Jackson (the only two decent players charlotte has)

other ones tough to leave out:
Houston- Aaron Brooks or Kevin Martin and Yao Ming
Portland- Brandon Roy and LaMarucs Aldridge
Golden State- Stephen Curry or Monta Ellis and David Lee
New Jersey- Devin Harris and Brook Lopez
Memphis- Mayo and Gay or Randolph and Gay
Orlando- Dwight Howard and Wince Harder/Rashard Lewis
Milwaukee- Brandon Jennings and Andrew Bogut

    TP: 16 ppg, 5.7 apg 30.9 mpg
    MG:16.5 ppg, 4.9 apg, 28.7 mpg

I know stats cant truly tell a players impact on his team but there is no way you can say manu is “way” better than parker, sure he had a better playoffs this past year but TP has been equally as instrumental in the championships they have won

Well, I suppose a lot better may be a stretch. Manu did struggle early on in the season–but in the latter part of the year he was playing like a top-5 or 10 player in the league

I would put Roy and Aldridge up there. Harris and Lopez would probably crack my top 10 too

    I’d have Durant/Westbrook ahead of Melo/Billups right now…

You don’t have them in the top 18 of your Duo’s but John Wall and Arenas could be lethal if Arenas returns to his 20 ppg status. People forget Arenas and Larry Hughes were a lethal duo back in 04/05 and I see the same possibilities with Wall but even better. Arenas and Hughes terrorized teams with their half court traps while both players were top 10 in spg. Wall and Arenas can do the same. Also Joe Johnson and Josh Smith are a pretty good duo. They have a good rapport with each other. JJ throws the lobs to Smith and Smith knows when to kick the ball out to JJ. Smith as a PF did average an impressive 4.2 apg last year and most of that was to JJ and Crawford. In comparison a ball dominant guard like OJ Mayo only averaged 3 apg last year.

took the words right out of my mouth…arenas and wall if it works outs, if arenas goes maybe wall and blatche? i always liked oj and rudy gay but im not really sure if they really work as a duo or not. maybe a pair of philly players as well since they have nice young talent with holiday, turner and A.I.

Jrue and Turner maybe in the future but both will have to defy expectations. I don’t think Turner and Iggy will ever be a great duo because they have similar skill sets and don’t really make up for each other’s weaknesses.

This thread however as stated by the OP is really who has the 2 best players in the league rather than who has the best duo. If we are actually talking duo’s and which 2 players make their teams well rounded I’d have to have at the top Pau/Kobe and Parker/Duncan.
