Al Horford plays mostly Center for a team with alot of scorers, and Young is more of a SF but plays the 4 when the sixers go small. Noah plays mostly C. Beasley is also a combo forward.
So I’ll rank them as if they play PF their whole career, which will drop a guy like Young.

1) Al Horford- Is the only guy on this list I have seen put up huge numbers in any game. Sometimes he will have close to 20-20 games
2) Lamarcus Aldridge- Tall, Athletic, and can hit the midrange J
3)Bargnani- Still has the chance to average like 23ppg, and 8rpg which is an all star.
4) Michael Beasley- Can create alot of matchup problems at the 4, but I don’t think he can guard 4’s very well.
5) Joakim Noah- He should be higher becuase he is such a good player on his team, but he just doesn’t score enough to be a main guy on a team
6) Kevin Love- Solid but unspectacular, like Beasley but less of a matchup nightmare
7) Paul Milsap- haven’t seen him play enough constant minutes to put him higher, had 1 really good half of a season but other wise he is just a role player
8) Thaddeus Young- Would be a nightmare on offense but he is a SF without the skills needed to be a full time 3. He cant guard 4’s his whole career.

I thought Thad Young would be quite a bit better than he is now at this stage in his career.  It also hurts me to put Noah at #4 since he is one of my favorite players but I tried not to be biased.  

I just don’t understand how anybody can rank Horford last out of this group of PFs.   Iggy, llperez, & Jeff….you all should be ashmed to have Milsap ranked ahead of Horford haha bad mistake.

beasley is gonna put up mad points, but I don’t see him being a number one option on a good team and his defense and rebounding both have a lot of work to do. Right now, he is mostly just a scorer who doesn’t even bring much of a low post presence on either end of the court.

Long term? To me….
1. Lamarcus Aldridge (24) – The only guy on this list thats a number 2 option for a legit contender, and still has plenty of untapped potential.

2. Michael Beasley (20) – This second year player has the most natural talent on the list, and is getting his game together nicely.

3. Al Horford (23)- The best defender on the list, athletic, efficient, and playing out of position. Plays his role, but could do much more.

4. Kevin Love (21) – Have a hard time putting him higher just because the team is bad. How much potential left? He’s versatile and polished though.

5. Joakim Noah (24) – Already playing at an All Star level. Low ceiling, ridiculously high floor. An extremely underrated passer.

6. Andrea Bargnani (24)- A taller Memo Okur, has the makings of a good scorer, but the player who most allergic to post play on the list, despite being the tallest.

7. Thadeus Young (21)- Definitely has the ceiling to be higher, but he has trouble creating his own shot still.

8. Paul Millsap (24)- Not a slight to him having him here. He’s just reached his ceiling. What you see is what you get.

That being said, all these players are very close.

Tough to rank these guys because they’re so young and it’s super close. I’d be able to rank them better in a season or two once a few guys start to separate themselves from the rest of the pack.

1. Aldridge – I’ve been a little disappointed in him this season… He’s STILL not rebounding like he should. His shot blocking is a joke. He’d still rather shoot the fadeaway rather than play inside. However… Going forward… He’s still the best on this list and the player I’d pick to build my team around.

2. Bargnani – I see some similarities to Dirk in him. He’s playing out of position and shares the frontcourt with a superstar. I think IF Bosh leaves, we’ll see him take his game up a notch. Going forward… He’s number two on this list. I wouldn’t be surprised if he turns out to be the best.

3. Love – He’s a walking double double. His intangibles are off the charts. He doesn’t finish very well around the rim due to a lack of athleticism, but he’s super strong and can shoot the ball.

4. Horford – He’s been playing out of position since he was drafted. I think once he moves to power forward, we’ll see him take his game up a notch. I wouldn’t be upset if you switched him places with Love… Horford has the higher ceiling.

5. Noah – An animal. He won’t ever be the scorer that Beasley will be, but he’ll be a better rebounder, defender and he’ll always play with more energy/passion. A see him as more of a center than a power forward though.

6. Beasley – He plays with D. Wade, so he hasn’t had the green light, but I still haven’t been that impressed. He has the potential to be a 20 and 8 rebound player. I see him more as a small forward than a power forward though. He’s somebody who could obviously rise up this list.

7. Young – He’s been up and down, but I still think he projects to be a versatile offensive player… He has *potential* to be a solid 2nd option.

8. Millsap – He’s a very good player, but going forward… He’s last on my list in regard to who I’d build my team around.
