McWinningParticipantDoes anyone think he can be the steal of free agency?
He has a lot of talent, and i think can be a very good sixth man for the Clippers.

ghettosermonParticipantI guess he could be pretty good off the bench but he’s not really the type of high volume scoring sparkplug like a Jamal Crawford. Foye is a scorer more by shot attempts. He’s not a great shooter and just ok finisher inside. Still backing Eric Gordon he could be pretty good especially for the low cost they got him at. The reason he’s struggled in the NBA is because he doesn’t belong ever playing point guard. He has zero PG skills. It’s almost uncomfortable watching him trying to play point and holding back. He just isn’t a good passer at all.

esperanzafleet69Participanti thought foye was excellent playing the 2 for minnesota…. its just that his whole career hes been forced to play out of position in an offense he doesnt know and isnt good at…

ghettosermonParticipantProblem is that he can’t guard 2 guards. That’s awfully tough if you have to make your PG take on SG’s. That’s probably why at best Foye is a very good scoring 6th man. I wouldn’t want him in my starting lineup.

PurpleMonkeyDishwasherParticipantHave you been talking to Kevin McINHale? Foye will be fine… definately not a steal though.

Scottoant93ParticipantI remember on draft day one of the analysts said he would be just like Dwayne Wade. Didn’t exactly work out that way but he is a good role player who has been playing out of position so many times along with injuries has never showed what he can do. I think the deal with the Clips is a good starting point to getting back on track to become a good player( not Wade).

warriorlifeParticipantAnother bone head player who jacks up bad shots and plays no defense. Should fit in well on the clippers.

PurpleMonkeyDishwasherParticipantFoyes height (6′-3″) makes him a “tweener’ so he wouldn’t have necessasarily have a position. If Foye is to ever have any true value it will to be as a “Bobby Jackson” (6th man, energy/scorer off the bench) type player, but I don’t think he has the mental capacity to handle the role.

scoutguruParticipantI think foye’s career might pan out the same way billups career went. He’s an undersized 2, who has a lil point guard skills, but is no where near consistent at that position to be left there, to start, and run your team. Hopefully as time goes on, something clicks for him, and a team gives him a chance, and he matures and shows people how talented he really his and lives up to his draft status.

butidonthavemoneyIf a team needs scoring off the bench, Foye might be a good option there. The Clippers needed defense and efficiency. Foye doesn’t bring either. Who are you going to play him with? Eric Gordon? Baron Davis?
I think this is a horrible fit. I don’t see any upside.

justin22443ParticipantFunny you should mention the Billups comparison, in an interview with the Wizards last year Foye said he wanted to be “like a Billups type” for the Wizards and turn them around…didn’t quite turn out that way. As a Wizards fan I wish we would stop putting other 2 guards ahead of Nick Young and just let him develop. Yes he takes a ton of shots, but with more playing time comes more maturity on the court.

Afactor4ParticipantI’m not gonna lie, I’ve probably only seen Randy Foye play less games than I can count on two hands in the NBA. But based on what I’ve seen he was nothing really that we needed. More of a luxury player.
Nevertheless, I remain excited about the deal just as how I would be excited if we were to get Nemanja Aleksandrov, Chris Taft, or other highly touted Nbadraft.net prospects from the past.
