If there was no Michael Jordan, Kobe Bryant, or LeBron James, Hakeem Olajuwon would be considered the GOAT of GOATs.

Ben Simmons and Michael Kidd-Gilchrist have 3-point attempts under a combined 10 total.

Giannis Antetokounmpo went from being the favorite for MVP to not being in the top-3 of discussions.

We all look foolish for writing Markelle Fultz off this season.

Derrick Rose is by far the most humbling active player in the game that was once at the top.

No one appreciates Lance Stephenson for what he brings to the NBA.

Monta Ellis is really out of the league.

O.J. Mayo season is in full effect.

Jahlil Okafor became the most disrespected player ever in a contract year.

Will Barton is a max player.

Vince Carter is legendary for never chasing a ring.

Michael Beasley finally got his act together.

    Charlotte revived Dwight Howard’s status.

Tyreke Evans needs a permanent home.

Melo no longer the baller he used to be.

Tristan Thompson is a great player (off the court).

Andre Ingram deserves a second shot in the NBA next season.

in the GOAT debate but it’s Much closer than people realize – both Magic & Bird had their careers cut way too short by health issues but look up what they both did Early in their career & it will Blow your mind.

All that being said The Dream was SO good – I Luv’d watching him. I remember him just destroying David Robinson in the playoffs in 94′ when Jordan left the NBA & Robinson finished just ahead of Hakeem & Scottie Pippen for League MVP & Dream just Shredded the Admiral in the West Conf playoffs & then he did the Sam ething to a young Shaq Diesel

I usually separate Centers in the GOAT debate but Dream make Any ALL Time Great list

Will Barton is a Stud. Michael  Beasley is a load & he can Really score against almost Anyone in the NBA except a handful of players – all of whom are DPOY candidates

I’m Still stunned the D – Rose never rerturned to form – that guy was SO good. It was Obvious in College at Memphis he was a future NBA Super Star & it’s shame & it happened So fast (at least it seems that way)

The Dream was great, but sorry, he is not close to the GOAT even in the absence of the players you mentioned. Kareem, Dr. J, Magic, Bird, Shaq, Timmy and Dirk all had better careers in the modern era (which began in 1979-80), and you can’t forget Russell and Wilt from the old era.

Olajuwon had some really nice seasons, but he spent at least half of his career on an irrelevant team. And while this is not his fault, the NBA was pretty much garbage in his two championship seasons.

The guys I named above led contenders pretty much every season during their primes.

Nice take and I appreciate most of them but I really disagree with Okafor. People always act like he is just denied playing basketball and that a decade or two ago he would have been tearing down league. Really? He wasn’t able to be in basketball shape all season at all. People say he can’t be in shape if he doesn’t play but it‘s actually the other way around. He is not the first seven footer who has problems with ballooning and nutrition but to me he doesn’t show the desire and love that he actually likes basketball. I‘m almost convinced we have a Bynum situation here. I wouldn’t offer any kind of contract north of 3 million per year to this dude. Maybe I‘m wrong but who really believes  he will ever come close to being a NBA starter?

Midseason I also believed Dwight has a good season in Charlotte but if you look at the numbers, it looks totally average and almost exactly like last year and I can’t get excited at all about what he has to offer at this stage of his career. The only real difference is he raised his scoring by three ppg but he also took three more shots per game. Somehow Mr. Howard thinks after 13 years in the league with only two postmoves in his repertoire that he is an modern big man and starts shooting from midrange. The problem is that his fg% dropped from 63% to 55% and he is now even less effective on the offensive and. I actually hate this dude, his antics and childish mindset and the fact that he never evolved as a player. Can’t wait till he retires and starts doing WWE.

Kind of Strange that Kuzma,Ingram & Randle Finished the season in a 3 Way Tie for the Lakers leading scorer at 16.1 points a game.
